Arizona Travel Vlog – Looking for things to do in Arizona? Page? Flagstaff? Well we found plenty, Horseshoe Bend in Page Arizona is one of the best views you can find in the west. Flagstaff on the other hand has quite a few museums but there’s none like Montezuma’s Castle National Monument and on our way we stopped by Kanab, Utah just so we can show you guys an amazing old west movie set museum, aka Little Hollywood Movie Set museum. Horseshoe Bend is a horseshoe-shaped incised meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona, in the United States. Horseshoe Bend is located 5 miles (8.0 km) downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, about 4 miles (6.4 km) southwest of Page. It is accessible via hiking a 1.5-mile (2.4 km) round trip from U.S. Route 89, but an access road also reaches the geological structure, as it is part of a state park. Horseshoe Bend can be viewed from the steep cliff above. The overlook is 4,200 feet (1,300 m) above sea level, and the Colorado River is at 3,200 feet (980 m) above sea level, making it a 1,000-foot (300 m) drop.
How to get here - From Page, AZ drive south on Highway 89 to between mileposts 544 & 545. Look for the exit lane and prominent dirt road on the west side of the road which you can drive a short distance on to the parking area.
Montezuma Castle National Monument

Montezuma Castle National Monument protects a set of well-preserved dwellings located in Camp Verde, Arizona which were built and used by the Sinagua people, a pre-Columbian culture closely related to the Hohokam and other indigenous peoples of the southwestern United States, between approximately 1100 and 1425 AD. The main structure comprises five stories and twenty rooms, and was built over the course of three centuries.
Neither part of the monument's name is correct. When European-Americans first observed the ruins in the 1860s, by then long-abandoned, they named them for the famous Aztec emperor Montezuma in the mistaken belief that he had been connected to their construction. In fact, the dwelling was abandoned more than 40 years before Montezuma was born, and was not a castle in the traditional sense, but instead functioned more like a prehistoric high rise apartment complex, as many families lived there. Several Hopi clans and Yavapai communities trace their ancestries to early immigrants from the Montezuma Castle/Beaver Creek area. Clan members periodically return to these ancestral homes for religious ceremonies.

Kanab made its screen debut in 1924 when Tom Mix filmed Deadwood Coach along with his co-star, Tony The Wonder Horse. Since then over a hundred Hollywood productions have taken advantage of the diverse and spectacular landscapes that make Southern Utah one of the most stunning places on Earth. Credit for interest in Southern Utah as a Hollywood back lot goes to the Parry Brothers who leveraged their guiding business at Zion National Park into a virtual Hollywood production machine by luring influential filmmakers to the area. Cecile B DeMille raised the profile of this location when he made Union Pacific here. John Ford's Drums Along the Mohawk proved that Kane County could stand in not only for iconic western landscapes but also as rugged eastern forest land.

The natural monuments are a reminder of the geological past of this extraordinary region situated at the foot of the Rocky Mountains Directly next to the caves at the foot of Pike’s Peak are the caves in which the Anasazi Indians once lived, the famous Cliff Dwellings where one can gain a fascinating insight into the culture of the native inhabitants of North America, how they lived, their culture and beliefs. The Indian Museum features Indian culture and work tools and is an impressive record of a long forgotten time and a people that almost became extinct. Sprague Lake is one of the region’s many glacial lakes and is ideal for walkers as well as anglers and boat enthusiasts, and several ranches offer accommodation. Ghost towns, gold mines, ancient cultures and mountain paradises, Native Indians, explorers, fur traders and gold prospectors, all the ingredients of the colourful history of America’s wild West. Colorado is indeed a place of spectacular nature and breathtaking adventure!

Bride Killed in Helicopter Crash (Warning: Distressing Footage)
Warning: This is a distressing video. A video has been released showing a helicopter crash that killed four people on board a helicopter en-route to a wedding (December, 2016). The 32-year-old bride, Rosemere do Nascimento, had planned to surprise her fiancé Udirley Damasceno, who was waiting at the altar when the chopper crash landed a mile from the reception venue in a rural area on the outskirts of Sao Paulo in Brazil.
While it's *generally* unfair to speculate, the R44 piston machine was in what clearly appears to be IMC. Watch what happens to the aggressive bank around the 1:42 min mark before control is lost. It was careless flying.
All occupants (including a pregnant photopgrapher, Nayla Cristina Neves) were killed.
