Sejong , officially Sejong Special Autonomous City and formerly known as Yeongi County is South Korea's central administrative city. In early 2007, the South Korean government created a special administrative district from parts of South Chungcheong Province and North Chungcheong Province provinces, near Daejeon, to relocate nine ministries and four national agencies from Seoul. The new offices opened on 2 July 2012, with 36 government agencies slated to move there by 2015.

  • 1. Beopjusa Temple Boeun Gun
    Beopjusa is a head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. It is situated on the slopes of Songnisan, within Songnisan National Park, in Naesongni-myeon, Boeun County, in the province of Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea. It was initially constructed in 553 by Silla monk Uisin. It has been historically associated with Beopsang thought, and the worship of the Maitreya Buddha.
