The Italian Alps: two winter trips for everyone – Pal Mont
Winter in the Alps means snow. Lots of snow. So this time we get our snowshoes, gather a few old friends and explore the mountains in Friuli Venezia Giulia, North-East Italy, our home region. Here are two trips for everyone. For our first trip, on New Year's Eve, we hike from the town of Sella Nevea to the mountain hut 'Giacomo Di Brazzà' and spend the night in its freezing winter shelter. For our second trip, we hike to the lakes of Fusine, close to the Austrian border. And of course, it was once again a freezing cold trip in the forest!
