Sisak is a city and episcopal see in central Croatia, located at the confluence of the Kupa, Sava and Odra rivers, 57 km southeast of the Croatian capital Zagreb, and is usually considered to be where the Posavina begins, with an elevation of 99 m. A spa town is a resort town based on a mineral spa . Patrons visit spas to take the waters for their purported health benefits. The word spa is derived from the name of Spa, a town in Belgium. Thomas Guidott set up a medical practice in the English town of Bath in 1668. He became interested in the curative properties of the hot mineral waters there and in 1676 wrote A discourse of Bathe, and the hot waters there. Also, Some Enquiries into the Nature of the water. This brought the purported health-giving properties of the waters to the attention of the aristocracy, who started to partake in them soon after.The term spa is used for towns or resorts offering hydrotherapy, which can include cold water or mineral water treatments and geothermal baths.

The Brijuni or the Brijuni Islands are a group of fourteen small islands in the Croatian part of the northern Adriatic Sea, separated from the west coast of the Istrian peninsula by the narrow Fažana Strait. The largest island, Veliki Brijun Island , , lies 2 kilometres off the coast. The second largest island is Mali Brijun with an area of 1.07 km², and twelve much smaller islands. Famous for their scenic beauty, the islands are a holiday resort and a Croatian National Park.

swiss gotthard to croatia novalja - gopro timelapse

our trip from switzerland to novalja/gajac. started recording just before gotthard tunnel as it was getting bright enough. set to an image each 2 seconds. played back at 25fps.
32gb card filled up while waiting for the ferry near the end, offloaded a few gb and continued recording. the trip took much longer then expected...
