Smolensk, My Brief Visit To The City

Shortly after this I went back to my hotel for a nap and was awaken by the police knocking on my door; “you are under arrest for crossing the border to Russia illegally” was told and was taken to jail where I spent about 30-35 hrs in a stinky cell full of traces of feces and urine and blood, my crime; having taken a train from Minsk to Smolensk, using my passport and visas, paid for my train ticket and was not stopped or deterred in any way or place until my arrest.
