    The Cíes Islands are an archipelago off the coast of Pontevedra in Galicia , in the mouth of the Ria de Vigo. They belong to the parish of San Francisco de Afora, in the municipality of Vigo. They were declared a Nature Reserve in 1980 and are included in the Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park created in 2002.

    The Park Güell is a public park system composed of gardens and architectonic elements located on Carmel Hill, in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Carmel Hill belongs to the mountain range of Collserola – the Parc del Carmel is located on the northern face. Park Güell is located in La Salut, a neighborhood in the Gràcia district of Barcelona. With urbanization in mind, Eusebi Güell assigned the design of the park to Antoni Gaudí, a renowned architect and the face of Catalan modernism. The park was built from 1900 to 1914 and was officially opened as a public park in 1926. In 1984, UNESCO declared the park a World Heritage Site under Works of Antoni Gaudí.

    Playa del Inglés is a sea resort in the south coast of the island of Gran Canaria. It is part of the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, and is a popular tourist attraction. The resident population was 7,515 in 2013.There is some dispute upon the origin of the resort's name. One explanation is that an English bohemian moved to the untouched area early in the 20th Century. However, it has been stated that the Bohemian was actually French, but was mistaken as English by the locals.

    Francesc Xavier Hernández Cardona is a Spanish historian, Professor of Didactics of Social Sciences of the University of Barcelona. In 1979 he got a degree in Philosophy and Literature, Section of Modern and Contemporary History, at the University of Barcelona, with the thesis entitled The MLE and its development in Catalonia , directed by Josep Termes. In 1993 he earned a doctorate at the same university with the thesis titled The History of Catalonia in the Primary and Secondary School , directed by Pelai Pagès. He has developed his research and teaching career in specialties like Didactics of History and Social Sciences, Didactics of Heritage, Historical Iconography, Didactic Museography and Military History of Catalonia.
