1. Redfish Lake Stanley
Redfish Lake is an alpine lake in the western United States in central Idaho. It is located in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, at the base of the Sawtooth Mountains in Custer County, south of Stanley. It is named for the brilliant sockeye salmon that once returned from the Pacific Ocean in such massive quantities that the lake shimmered red during spawning season. Currently, only a small percentage of the wild sockeye succeed in making through the several hydroelectric dams along their route back to the lake to spawn. Sockeye must not be targeted while fishing and must immediately be released if they are caught. The surface elevation of Redfish Lake is 6,547 feet above sea level. The lake is 4.5 miles long and 0.72 miles wide, with a maximum depth of 387 feet , and 11 miles of shore...

Payette Lake is a natural lake, formed by glacial activity, situated in the upper drainage basin of the Payette River, which drains into the Snake River in southwestern Idaho. Outflow from the lake is regulated for irrigation purposes by a small dam completed in 1943. The normal maximum lake surface elevation of 1,520 metres above sea level is attained in July; a normal drawdown of 1.7 metres is completed by December. The lake surface area and volume, excluding islands, are 20.5 square kilometres and 0.75 cubic kilometres , respectively; mean and maximum depths are 36.8 metres and 92.7 metres , respectively; and shoreline length is about 36 kilometres . Ponderosa State Park is a public recreation area occupying a peninsula in Payette Lake on the northeast edge of McCall in Valley County, Idaho, United States. The state park's 1,515 acres include a second unit, called North Beach, located six miles north of McCall at the northern extremity of the lake. The park has hiking and biking trails, guided walks, evening programs, beach, picnic area, and opportunities for skiing, snowshoeing, and wildlife watching.

Brundage Mountain Resort is an alpine ski area in the western United States, located in west central Idaho in the Payette National Forest. Brundage first opened 57 years ago in November 1961 and is 8 miles northwest of McCall, a twenty-minute drive in average winter conditions. The summit elevation of Brundage is 7,640 feet above sea level, with an overall vertical drop of 1,800 feet . Five chairlifts serve the 1,500 acres of primarily west-facing terrain, overlooking New Meadows, Adams County, and past the Snake River into eastern Oregon. IDAHO WATERFALLS

When we traveled though Idaho, the potato state, we didn't know we would come across some of the biggest waterfalls we have seen so far! Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls Idaho, is taller than Niagara falls. The other fall was just a few miles away from Shoshone. Perrine Bridge was another great attraction to catch as soon as you entered Idaho. We both agree Idaho is an underrated state. It is very beautiful! Thanks for watching!

We're riding Trek's new gravel bikes, the Checkpoint, and the goal is to take the road less traveled in search of great people and inspiring stories.
