East Fishkill is a town on the southern border of Dutchess County, New York, United States. The population was 29,029 at the 2010 census. The town was once the eastern portion of the town of Fishkill. Hudson Valley Research Park is located in the town, and housed 27 divisions and 4,700 regular employees for IBM Microelectronics, which GlobalFoundries bought. While IBM produced microchips they owned the advanced, automated processor fabrication facility where IBM's Cell processor was co-developed.

The center is owned by Premium Outlets, a subsidiary of Simon Property Group, and takes its name from the town in which it is located. Opened in late 1985, expanded in 1993, and again in 1998, the center now has 220 stores occupying more than 800,000 square feet and is one of the largest contiguous outlet centers in the world. The Mount Washington Auto Road an 8 mile toll road that extends from New Hampshire Route 16 in Pinkham Notch to the summit of Mount Washington in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The road climbs 4,618 feet from an altitude of 1,527 feet at the bottom to 6,145 feet at the top, an average gradient of 11.6%. The road was completed and opened to the public in 1861. Due to its remarkable location, weather, and history, the Mount Washington Auto Road is unlike any other driving experience in the Eastern United States. A trip on Mount Washington Auto Road is a one-of-a-kind experience offering ever-changing weather extremes, panoramic views and the opportunity to pass through four distinct climate zones as you climb to the highest peak in the Northeast. I especially like the gathering at the firehouse, afterwards. When you can view those beautiful fire engines and equipment of our dedicated first responders.
