This is me wading around Blue Springs State Park in Alabama. This was the first time I actually used my waterproof camera underwater. This water is always 68 degrees Fahrenheit.

Storm Damage Hurricane Michael 10/10/18 Headland AL

3 1/2 years ago we decided to move to Southeastern-most Alabama from North Alabama (Huntsville area). My wife wanted to move to FL because she's got a brother and nephews down there, but I said no, I wanted to stay in Bama because I didn't want to deal with hurricanes. Best laid plans as they say.

Michael hit Headland, AL as a Cat 2 hurricane. Coulda been a lot worse. We're down in a holler with hills on all sides of us. Flat-lands and high-points took the worst of it. I'm an old man who doesn't believe in begging for help, especially from government, so I'll be cleaning most of this up myself, if the attempt doesn't kill me first. Got a good start on the first tree you see in the video, but bustin' it up is only half the battle. Still have to figure out what to do with it afterwards. May take more video of cleanup.....

Pensacola Maritime Park - Part 1

Pensacola, Florida has a new waterfront park under construction that will greatliy enhance the city where America started. Don Tristan De Luna founded the first Spanish settlement in North America in 1559 at this location. Pensacola is noted for it's great beaches, forts, National Seashore, Arts & Culture, Museums, historical district, fishing, boating and other outdoors opportunities. The Park will house a multi-use sports stadium as well as the State Maritime Museum. Resturants, retail, & hotels will also be located on this park.

World class fresh water fishing is available at Becks Lake Fish Camp located on the Escambia River, the 4th largest river in Florida.

This is part 1 of a 2 part video of the Maritime Park which is now under construction on beautiful Pensacola Bay.
