Treviso is a city and comune in the Veneto region of northern Italy. It is the capital of the province of Treviso and the municipality has 84,669 inhabitants : some 3,000 live within the Venetian walls or in the historical and monumental center, some 80,000 live in the urban center proper while the city hinterland has a population of approximately 170,000.     Benetton Rugby are an Italian professional rugby union team based in Treviso, Veneto competing in the Pro14 and the European Rugby Challenge Cup. Treviso were founded in 1932 and have won 15 Italian national championships. The Treviso rugby team have been owned by the Benetton clothing company since 1979. Treviso have competed in the Pro14 since 2010, and have previously competed in the Italian domestic championship. Treviso have supplied a large number of players to the Italian national team, such as Alessandro Zanni and Leonardo Ghiraldini. Several notable foreign players have played for Treviso, including Rugby World Cup winners Craig Green, John Kirwan and Michael Lynagh. The President of Treviso Rugby is Amerino Zatta.

  • 4. Stadio Monigo Treviso
    Stadio Comunale di Monigo is a sports stadium in Treviso, Italy. The stadium is used for rugby union, and the Benetton team play games there. It can hold around 5,000 people, 2700 in the covered West Stand and the others in the East Stand. It has seen growing attendances in recent years, as the sport has increased in popularity. Consequently, in summer 2018 works began to cover the East Stand and increase the capacity of the stadium to 6700 seats. The works are set to end in November 2018.
