Demir Baba Teke is a 16th-century Alevi mausoleum near the village of Sveshtari, Isperih municipality, Razgrad Province in northeastern Bulgaria. As part of the Sboryanovo historical and archaeological reserve, Demir Baba Teke is one of the 100 Tourist Sites of Bulgaria. The mausoleum is thought to be the resting place of Demir Baba, a 16th-century Alevi saint. The tomb itself is a heptagonal building constructed out of local sandstone. It has a lower rectangular antechamber and is covered by a hemispherical dome 11 metres in height. Demir Baba's grave lies in the middle of the heptagonal inner premises. World's Ugliest Hotel: Interhotel Veliko Tarnovo, VT, Bulgaria

Quite possibly the ugliest hotel in the world, the Interhotel was built in the early 80's during the Communist Era. The hotel has about 200 rooms. It is not expensive to stay here but is a low-rated hotel in on-line reviews. While conveniently located, the hotel is in bad condition on the outside. It could use more updating and upkeep. Many things are closed permanently or temporarily at the hotel. Decades ago before other hotels were in Veliko Tarnovo, this probably was a good hotel. Sadly it is not now.

The Skakavitsa Waterfall, Bulgaria

The Skakavitsa Waterfall (Bulgarian: Скакавица or Скакавишки водопад, Skakavishki vodopad) is the highest waterfall in the Rila Mountains in Bulgaria. It is part of Rila National Park and is located on the Skakavitsa River. The waterfall is situated on approximately 2,000 m above sea level, the water falling down from 70 m.

The Skakavitsa Waterfall is one of the chief tourist attractions in the area owing also to the century-old endemic white fir (Pinum peuce) forests surrounding it.
