Sangaste castle (German: Schloss Sagnitz) traces its history to at least 1522, when it was part of the estates of the bishop of Tartu. The current building was built in 1879-1883 and designed by architect Otto Pius Hippius. It is built in a neo-Gothic style with influences from Tudor architecture, and considered one of the most impressive examples of Gothic Revival architecture in the Baltic States. 14.08.2010 on Saaremaa island, Estonia. I made three videos with just driving on the roads, radio playing, that's the second one. As Estonians can hear and understand the very moment: there was a song playing in our national radio station Vikerraadio and they sing there that the best place to be in summertime is only Saaremaa! I asked from the driver, my colleague, how did they in Vikerraadio know that we are in Saaremaa at the moment. By the way, with direct translation Saaremaa means 'island-land'. Yea, those three days were my first ever in Saaremaa so maybe I was a bit too excited about all that, hence this video.
