Penedo Furado Vila de Rei Portugal (HD)
PRAIA FLUVIAL DO PENEDO FURADO, Um dos locais mais conhecidos do concelho de Vila de Rei, que se destaca por uma passagem natural na rocha e pela ribeira que divide um maciço rochoso, formado por um conjunto de quedas de água de grande beleza, que podem ser apreciadas, percorrendo a pé um estreito caminho talhado na rocha. Dois miradouros com acesso directo à estrada permitem a visão deste conjunto muito arborizado, dotado de infra-estruturas de apoio à praia fluvial, onde a água límpida e cristalina com pouca profundidade, vai correndo pelo leito natural entre as rochas. Foi apurada finalista no concurso 7 Maravilhas -- Praias de Portugal, na categoria de Praias de Rios no ano 2012.*carl0spais*2012.
One of the most popular places in Vila de Rei municipality, distinguished by a natural circuit naturaly carved into the rock and the river that divides a rock mass formed by a beautiful set of waterfalls, which can be enjoyed by foot through a narrow path carved into the rock. Two viewpoints with direct access to a wooded landscape, with infrastructure that support the river beach, where crystal clear water and shallow run the natural course between the rocks. It was one of the finalists in a competition that determined 7 Wonders - Beaches of Portugal, in the category River Beaches in 2012.*carl0spais*2012.

Since 1966, the Sintra Mountains have been affected by fires that have destroyed a major part of the original forest, which has been substituted by acacia and other fast-growing exotic species. The forested area of the Sintra mountains is about 5,000 hectares (50 km2).

Óbidos - Portugal
(Legendas disponíveis) Pela sua excelente localização junto ao mar e como os braços da Lagoa chegavam ao morro, estas terras desde sempre foram habitadas, o que se confirma pela estação do Paleolítico Inferior do Outeiro da Assenta. Aqui se formou um castro Celtibero, voltado a poente. Sabe-se que aqui comerciaram os fenícios, e hoje com mais propriedade que os Romanos aqui se estabeleceram, sendo provável que a torre sul do Facho, tenha tido a sua origem numa torre de atalaia de construção romana, como posto avançada da cidade de Eburobrittium, grande urbe urbana encontrada e em fase de trabalho arqueológico.
Em 11 de Janeiro 1148, o primeiro rei, D. Afonso Henriques, apoiado por Gonçalo Mendes da Maia, tomou Óbidos aos árabes, após o cerco de Novembro anterior. O Cruzeiro da Memória é um singelo monumento da época, mais tarde restaurado. Óbidos pertenceu ao pentágono defensivo (dos cinco castelos), do centro do reino, idealizado pelos Templários.
Com a oferta de Óbidos como prenda de casamento de D. Dinis a sua esposa D. Isabel, a Vila ficou pertença da Casa das Rainhas, só extinta em 1834, e por aqui passaram a maioria das rainhas de Portugal, deixando grandes benefícios. D. Catarina manda construir o aqueduto e chafarizes. A reforma administrativa de D. Manuel I dá a Óbidos em 1513 novo Foral, sendo esta época muito intensa em requalificações urbanas.
O terramoto de 1755 fez sentir-se com intensidade na Vila, derrubando partes da muralha, bem como alguns templos e edifícios, tendo ainda alterado alguns aspectos do traçado e do casco árabe e medieval. Também Óbidos foi palco das lutas da Guerra Peninsular, tendo aqui sido a grande batalha da Roliça, que no tempo pertencia ao “termo” de Óbidos.
Mais recentemente a Vila foi palco da reunião preparatória da Revolta do 25 de Abril, ficando assim ligada ao corajoso e heróico movimento dos capitães.

Praia Vieira de Leiria Portugal (HD)
A PRAIA de VIEIRA DE LEIRIA, localizada no concelho de Marinha Grande, distrito de Leiria, teve origem na actividade piscatória, que foi um dos factores da fixação populacional.Com um areal que se estende por vários Kms, esta praia tem condições excepcionais para a prática de desportos de água, tais como o surf e o body board, srndo também uma das praias mais procuradas da região para a prática de kitesurf, devido aos constantes ventos que sopram do norte.Uma das curiosidades desta vila é a Capela dos Pescadores, um dos raros exemplares de edifícios religiosos construídos em madeira em 1973, no local onde existia uma pequena capela construída em alvenaria. Uma das bases de sustentação desta localidade e que atrai muitos turistas é a gastronomia, donde se destacam os pratos confeccionados à base de marisco. São Miguel Island is the largest and most populous island in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores. The island covers 760 km2 (290 sq mi) and has around 140,000 inhabitants, with 45,000 people resident in Ponta Delgada, the archipelago's largest city.
Similar to other islands in the archipelago, São Miguel is influenced by ocean currents and winds, and, in particular, the cyclonic Gulf Stream. This keeps temperatures hovering between 14 °C (57 °F) and 26 °C (79 °F) throughout the year. The island's location also makes it susceptible to many Atlantic storms.

O projeto Vila Literária, iniciou-se com a reabilitação de espaços degradados que foram transformados em livrarias.
Com o objectivo de criar dinâmicas ligadas ao livro, foi criado o Folio - Festival Literário e realizou-se uma candidatura a cidade criativa da literatura da UNESCO. A integração ocorreu em Dezembro de 2014. O festival literário Folio integra dezenas de actividades que passam por mesas redondas, entrevistas, tertúlias, concertos, exposições, peças de teatro, sessões de cinema, Actividades com escolas, com dezenas de escritores e criadores portugueses e estrangeiros. #castelosdeportugal

Moledo Beach, on the northern end, close to the border to Spain just beside the river Minho, a lovely sandy beach, is distinguished mainly by its beautiful landscape.
The dunes are protected from wooden walkways which combine with the landscape of the mountains that extends into the horizon.
Insua Fort is located on a small island on the extreme northern Portugal guarding the River Minho which borders Portugal and Spain.
A Monastery was founded in 1392 by franciscans in the island over a pre-existent small ermitage. Place of cult, the island was visited by King D. Manuel I after amplification of the monastery. Several wars with Spain and invasions from corsaries obliged the construction of the existing fortress, between 1649 and 1652. Its construction was ordered by D. Diogo de Lima.
A well for drinking water supplied the garrison, consisting of a Governor (Commander) and twelve squares, alternating weekly. This well is notable for is at sea, being one of only three in the world.
