Waddell is an unincorporated community in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States, northwest of the city of Phoenix. Waddell is named after Donald Ware Waddell, native of Ohio, who was a partner in the New York City investment firm of Brandon, Gordon and Waddell. It was this firm that organized the private financing for construction of the dam for the water reclamation project that creates Lake Pleasant. The intended Waddell town site was laid out by Donald W. Waddell in 1935, on property he owned on the northeast corner of Waddell Road and Cotton Lane . 1. Boyce Thompson Arboretum Superior Arizona
Boyce Thompson Arboretum is the largest and oldest botanical garden in the state of Arizona. It is one of the oldest botanical institutions west of the Mississippi. Founded in 1924 as a desert plant research facility and “living museum”, the Arboretum is located in the Sonoran Desert on 392 acres along Queen Creek and beneath the towering volcanic remnant, Picketpost Mountain. Boyce Thompson Arboretum is on U.S. Highway 60, an hour's drive east from Phoenix and 3 miles west of Superior, Arizona. Get to Supai by helicopter or by hiking. The beautiful Havasu falls are located deep in the Supai village. Though it can be challenging to get to Supai, it is well worth it to enjoy the gorgeous views. Many go to Havasupai for cliff jumping, swimming, camping and just relaxing.

You can stay at a lodge in Supai or you can camp along the Havasu creek. I chose to take the helicopter to Supai and stayed at the lodge. All of the options above are great, but you simply must visit this place to see it for yourself!!

I traveled quite a bit in April. Here are the videos I shot on my trips.

In this vlog:
- Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park in Sunol, CA. It was a very windy day that day. The video looks like a time lapse but it really wasn't. The clouds were really moving that fast that day!
- Redwood Regional Park in Oakland, CA. There were a lot of downed trees from the recent San Francisco Bay Area mega storms. Come see the downed trees and the tall Coast Redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens),
- Davenport, CA wildflower and coast scenery.
- Sunol Regional Wilderness in Sunol, CA. I show you wildflowers, creek scenery, waterfall scenery, wilderness scenery while I talk about my back injury.
