The CF-100 was the only Canadian-designed fighter to enter mass production, serving primarily with the Royal Canadian Air Force and Canadian Armed Forces and also in small numbers in Belgium. For its day, the CF-100 featured a short takeoff run and high climb rate, making it well suited to its role as an interceptor.

Historic Woodside Home, Kitchener Ontario

Woodside's 5 hectare (12 acre) grounds were the boyhood home (1886-1893) of Canada's 10th prime minister, William Lyon Mackenzie King. British lawyer James Colquhoun built the original home in 1853. Parks Canada restored this national historic site as it was during the King family's 1893 residency. The landscape and close-up images are accompanied by 2 period compositions: Chit-Chat (Babillage) by Ernest Gillet, and Songe d'Automne by Archibald Joyce.
