The West Frisian Islands (Waddeneilanden or Waadeilannen) are a chain of islands in the North Sea off the Dutch coast, along the edge of the Wadden Sea. From west to east the islands are: Noorderhaaks, Texel, Vlieland, Richel, Griend, Terschelling, Ameland, Rif, Engelsmanplaat, Schiermonnikoog, Simonszand, Rottumerplaat, Rottumeroog, and Zuiderduintjes.

Terschelling (Schylge) is a municipality and a West Frisian island in the northern Netherlands. It can be reached by ferry from the mainland Frisian town Harlingen.
In a small area there are a large diversity of landscapes: meadows alternating with small villages, deciduous and coniferous woodland, dunes, beaches and nature areas.
It is a paradise for bird lovers.
The bicycle is the ideal means of transportation to explore the island.

With beautiful sunny weather ending the summer of 2008, I say good-bye to two days of cycling, walking, eating, dancing, and enjoying life on this island North West of the Dutch coast.

NETHERLANDS national park Loonse en Drunense duinen (hd-video)
This small national park is situated in the province of Noord Brabant. It consists of sand drifts and heathlands. Colourful in summer!
Nearby are more nature reserves like Leemkuilen and Kampina.

A nice song from Johnny Reid but I think it's also a great song for us to sing about the lovely Island of Terschelling!
The pictures of Terschelling I used are made by myself and at the end a little part of Terschellinger Hessel playing in his own cafe De Groene Weide which I recorded when we enjoyed his show in august 2015.
