Westerstede is the capital of the Ammerland district, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 25 km northwest of Oldenburg. It is known for hosting the Rhodo Festival, the biggest exhibition of rhododendrons in Europe. The festival is hosted every four years. The villages of Burgforde, Eggeloge, Felde, Fikensolt, Garnholt, Gießelhorst, Halsbek, Halstrup, Hollriede, Hollwege, Hollwegerfeld, Hüllstede, Ihausen, Ihorst, Karlshof, Linswege, Linswegerfeld, Mansie, Lindern, Moorburg, Neuengland, Ocholt, Ocholterfeld, Ollenharde, Petersfeld, Tarbarg, Torsholt, Westerloy, Westerloyerfeld and Westerstederfeld are part of Westerstede.

2. Lange Anna Helgoland
Lange Anna , is a 47 metres high sea stack of Buntsandstein in the North Sea island of Helgoland, Germany. Its real local name is Nathurn Stak . Climbing the stack is not allowed but tourists can look at the rock from a distance. Lange Anna is somewhat similar to the Old Man of Hoy. In 1969 it was declared a natural monument. The stack is subject to severe weathering wear and decomposition. It was decided that any further effort for its conservation could do nothing but slowing down the process, so the Lange Anna today is consigned to its fate. Experts assume an acute danger of collapse of the top two thirds because of an instable layer of sands 16 metres above sea level, which already is the thinnest part of Lange Anna.

The Wadden Sea is an intertidal zone in the southeastern part of the North Sea. It lies between the coast of northwestern continental Europe and the range of low-lying Frisian Islands, forming a shallow body of water with tidal flats and wetlands. It is rich in biological diversity. In 2009, the Dutch and German parts of the Wadden Sea were inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List and the Danish part was added in June 2014.The Wadden Sea stretches from Den Helder, in the northwest of the Netherlands, past the great river estuaries of Germany to its northern boundary at Skallingen in Denmark along a total coastline of some 500 km and a total area of about 10,000 km2 . Kdyby zahrada byla PLÁTNO, pohyb v ní TAH a výsadba rostlinek NANÁŠENÍ BAREV, zajisté bych byl přesvědčen, že jsem se stal UMĚLCEM. Zahradník.

Možná si říkáte, proč zde píšem tyto řádky, proč tu jednoduše nenapíšem to typické AHOJ, DÍKY VÁM, PRO VÁS...
Důvod je jednoduchý. Ani příroda sama nechce být dokonale stejná a rovná. Myšlenku vývoje člověka si zajisté kladla na svoje zelené srdce, ale kdo Ví, jestli při tvarování toho všeho, byla použita „kořenka“ Válka, jako nutná vloha. Nebýt ale této vlohy, nikdy by tento nádherný park nevznikl a my bychom nemohli obdivovat tuto krásu na jedom místě v takovém měřítku. Ale kdo ví, třeba i Zahradník je vlastně Válečníkem, Umělcem, Myslitelem, nebo snad Odkazem doby?

Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden - Federal Way, WA

The Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden is a hidden gem in Federal Way that contains over 750 varieties of rhododendron flowers.This beautifully maintained and meticulously landscaped garden has been tenderly cared for by one man (Steve Hootman) for over 25 years.

Even though you can hear traffic from the freeway nearby, it still feels like you are walking through another world. If you think, as I thought before coming here, that if you’ve seen one rhododendron, you’ve pretty much seen them all, then you’re in for an eye-opening experience.

This spot is located near the beautiful old Weyerhauser building and as a bonus, you can check out the Pacific Bonsai museum right next door while you’re there.
