Winnsboro is a city in Franklin and Wood Counties in the U.S. state of Texas, located north of Tyler. The population was 3,252 at the 2010 census, down from 3,584 at the 2000 census. Settlement of Winnsboro began in the 1850s with a post office established between 1854 and 1855.

    Caddo Lake State Park is a state park located in eastern Texas. Caddo Lake, the lake that the state park encompasses, is one of only a handful of natural lakes in Texas. The park consists of 8,253 acres west of the lake itself, in Harrison County, near Karnack, Texas. The lake and surrounding area was drilled for petroleum in the 1900s. The lake was created by a gigantic log jam known as the Great Raft.

Crowders Mountain was named for Crowders Creek which originated near its base. Contrary to some historical information, Crowders Mountain was not named for Ulrick Crowder . There is no historical evidence that he was ever in the immediate area.[1] The cliffs are a popular destination for rock climbers.
