Xingping is a city located in the center part of Shaanxi province, China. It has been a city since 1993, with a total area of 496 square kilometers and a population of 620,000. The annual average temperature is 13.1 ℃ and its annual precipitation of 585 mm.   • 3. Ma Wei Yi Xingping
    Ma Dai was a military general of the state of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period of China. He previously served under his uncle Ma Teng, a warlord in northwestern China, during the late Eastern Han dynasty. After Ma Teng's death, he followed his cousin Ma Chao and they joined the warlord Zhang Lu in Hanzhong for a short period of time. Ma Chao later defected to another warlord Liu Bei, and Ma Dai accompanied him. Ma Dai served under Liu Bei and later in the state of Shu Han . Not much information on Ma Dai is found in historical records. It is known that in 234, he participated in the fifth Northern Expedition led by Shu's chancellor Zhuge Liang to attack the Shu's rival state Cao Wei.     The Maoling or Mao Mausoleum is the mausoleum of Emperor Wu of Han located in Xingping, Shaanxi, China, about 40 km to the west of the provincial capital of Xi'an. The tomb is the largest of all tombs built during the Han Dynasty. It is also well known as Great White Pyramid since U.S. Army Air Corps pilot James Gaussman saw it as a white jewel-topped pyramid during a flight between India and China during World War II . It is a trapezoidal tumulus built from rammed earth with a rectangular base which measures 222 by 217 metres and a height of 47 metres .
