Uzhhorod (Ukraine)
Uzhhorod (Ukrainian: Ужгород) is a city located in western Ukraine, at the border with Slovakia and near the border with Hungary. It is the administrative center of Zakarpattia Oblast (region), as well as the administrative center of the surrounding Uzhhorod Raion (district) within the oblast. The city gets its name from the Uzh River, which divides the city into two parts. However, this name is a recent construct, and has been used only since the beginning of the 20th century. Before then, the city was known as Ungvár.
Uzhhorod is cosy and romantic city. If you plan to come to western Ukraine, don't hesitate to visit Uzhhorod.

A month ago I returned from a short vacation, which I spent in Crimea. I went there despite the Canadian Government travel advisory, which does not recommend to go there. Despite the fact that it happened one and a half year ago, for the umpteenth time, they tell about armed groups supported by Russian military forces who took control of government buildings, airports and other locations in the Crimean peninsula and about its occupation and annexation.
This video is my thoughts dictated to my cell phone during ten-hour flight from Moscow to Toronto. They are my observations about different cultures. When moving from one culture to another, many things become clear.
For many Canadians and Westerners in general it is an occupied and annexed territory. For some, who are less affected by the local propaganda it is the opposite — a territory freed from the occupation. Why? Watch the video to find an answer.

Projekt CARAT sa sústreďuje na rozvinutie platformy pre spoluprácu lokálnych kľúčových hráčov turizmu, a to prepojením verejného a súkromného sektora. Vypracovanie stratégie turizmu pre destináciu, vytvorenie marketingovej a propagačnej štúdie, iniciovanie založenia neoficiálneho cezhraničného turistického klastra s tým, že platformy by mali vzniknúť aj na lokálnych úrovniach.
Projekt „Karpatský región ako atraktívna turistická destinácia“ je implementovaný v rámci programu cezhraničnej spolupráce ENPI Maďarsko-Slovensko-Rumunsko-Ukrajina 2007-2013 huskroua-cbc.net. Je spolufinancovaný Európskou úniou prostredníctvom Nástroja európskeho susedstva a partnerstva /ENPI/. Abandoned village in Ukraine
During the project I am going to cover the big economical problem in Ukraine- village disappearing. Because of the economical motivation absence and lack of government support every year almost 300 villages disappear from the Ukraine map. Young people leave village to big cities and towns to find good job- which is a trend now in Post-Soviet countries. I found the last persons of Kuzbej village , Anna (deaf-and-dumb) and Kalina, sisters , who live in mountain village in Korpaty region. During USSR time , Village had 25 houses and church, and bus one per day, which connect it with bigger village.
