LONDON WALK | Fortnum & Mason Christmas Window Display | England
A first-person perspective London walk tour of Fortnum & Mason Christmas window display 2017.
See all the sights as Watched Walker (yes, I’m talking about myself in the third person!) takes us on a walking tour through the streets of London, featuring the festive window display of Fortnum & Mason, an upmarket department store in Piccadilly. The tour features the exterior of the store and its window display which has the theme this year of togetherness, with their rallying cry that 'Together We're Merrier'.
Sights seen along the tour include a tuxedo wearing, Indian elephant in a tiny boat, popping a bottle of Fortnum's champagne over a party clad shoal of fish, a Christmas tree being decorated by a team of birds and bees, a laughing clock holds Mr. Fortnum & Mr. Mason either side of it, and a log flame is reading the ‘Together We’re Merrier’ catalogue to smiling logs.
And in each video I've hidden a blinking eye, can you spot it? (It could appear more than once). In addition to the blinking eye, I've also added the Watched Walker logo to various scenes–it could be on buildings, vehicles or any other objects, so keep an eye out for it too!

Alice in Wonderland Treacle Well at Binsey ,Oxford
Lewis Carroll wove this well into his Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. I guess he must have visited here with Alice Liddell and her sisters. Curiously I learn that it really was called a Treacle Well because this was a Holy Well and the mediaeval sense of the word ‘treacle’ meaning ‘healing unguent’. St Frideswide fled here to Binsey to avoid marriage with the King of Mercia. When he was blinded she prayed at Binsey and the spring magically appeared she then used the water to cure the King's blindness. The water is not drinkable as far as I know.
Binsey is now a shrunken village but is worth a visit You can make it a target of a walk from Oxford via Jericho & port Meadow with a picnic or a stop at the Perch Pub, Binsey
