=====EPIC MASAI MARA KENYA SAFARI VIDEO DETAILS=====
This Masai Mara Kenya Video will depict exactly what kenya safari is like!
This is how our Masai Mara Safari Adventure unfolded…
We booked our kenya safari maasai mara Package from this company called Maragates.com. All the payments were done online. That it could be scary to transfer over this amount of money over the internet but it was safe and reliable. The company has been operating for more than 10 years and they take very good care of their customers! We departed from Nairobi at around 8.30 am and we reached Maasai Mara at around 4pm.
We went for an afternoon game drive after we left our luggage in our tents and the Safari Kenya Masai Mara adventure began! The tents were budget accommodations but definitely decent to stay. We had our own ensuite bathroom and we could even hear cattle grazing just besides us. The Mara adventure was epic! It was surreal to see so many animals that we are not used to seeing in such a short lapse of time! It was different to see these animal in their own natural habitat! This is unlike a zoo. It’s much better. The animals are not held captive and are just going around doing their daily business! It was beautiful to see! The reserve itself is BIG! There is so much ground to cover and so many animals to see! It was a fulfilling first day and day number 2 was even better! Also, we made new friends in the van and it was a good time bonding with them. All of them were super friendly and nice.
????????=====SPECIAL DISCOUNT ????======
This is another reminder, if you are looking for a 100% Kenyan Safari Experience or the best value Maasai Mara Safari Kenya, you can get a discount if you are our subscriber. That is on top of the already competitive pricing by Maragates (the company we booked). For more instructions on how to claim, click this link:

Over the years we have been lucky to have some of the best groups of guests come experience East Africa with us. Whether you bring your family or friends, you will leave with memories that will last for years to come.
Our esteemed guests visited Kenya and took a 17 day #Africa safari. Most of them took the discover africa safari for the first time. We started with two nights in Nairobi. Took day tours around Nairobi to DSWT, giraffe centre, Kazuri beads factory and Karen blixen museum. The journey kicked off with a visit to the Kijabe mission station where Miss Fundi spent most of her early days. Proceed to Naivasha. Took a guided nature walk to crescent island. Proceeded to Lake Nakuru national park to explore the park that hosts over 450 bird species, one of the world's highest bird diversities including the large gathering of long legged, long necked pink flamingos. The park is also sanctuary to the great endangered white rhino and other wildlife including buffalos, lions and the eclusive leopards. Overnight at Sarova Lion Hill lodge. Proceeded to Sarova shaba lodge situated at the Shaba game reserve. Game viewing drive in search of the Samburu 5 i,e grevy zebra, reticulated giraffe, somali ostrich, gerenuk and beisa oryx. Enjoyed a colorful dance by the samburu women. After three days left for Ol pejeta conservancy,
Took a domestic flight to the majestic Masai Mara game reserve. Four days of rewarding game viewing drives. WIldlife sightings included the lion, leopard, cape buffalo, african elephant, giraffe, zebras, gazelles and many birds species. Proceeded to the Kenyan coast aboard the madaraka express via Tsavo to Mombasa - a place steeped in history. A melting pot of languages and cultures from all sides of the Indian Ocean. Did a city tour of Mombasa and also visited the historic Fort Jesus.

Experience Kenya: Unforgettable safari in Masai Mara
A hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara’s endless plains at sunrise? Check. A champagne breakfast on the African savanna? Yup. Multiple game drives in one of the best safari destinations on the planet? Absolutely. All of these bucket list experiences — plus loads more — await in the Masai Mara. Follow along as TourRadar and Explorations by Collette take you on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure to Kenya’s best-known reserve — which just so happens to be one of the most iconic safari hotspots out there. A quick word of warning before we get started: there’s a good chance you’ll be searching for flights to Nairobi by the time we’re through!
The Masai Mara is all about wildlife; not only is it one of the best places in Africa to see big cats (hello lions, leopards, and cheetahs!), but it’s also a mecca for black rhino, elephant, wildebeest, and buffalo. If you have your heart set on seeing the Big Five on safari, this reserve certainly won’t disappoint! And, of course, the Masai is home to the Great Migration — so if you plan your visit accordingly, you’ll have a front row seat to one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth. In other words, the Masai Mara is the ultimate safari destination of your dreams!
The adventure doesn’t stop there: when you’re not getting up close and personal with incredible wildlife, you’ll need to get a taste of Kenyan culture. The best way to do so? Spend the day at a Maasai village. After a warm welcome from a Maasai warrior (no big deal), you’ll learn about the tribe and their traditions, witness the traditional dance of the Maasai men, and fully immerse yourself in Maasai life. Best of all, Explorations by Collette tours are specially designed to deliver completely unique and immersive experiences, so there’s no doubt this will be one of the most memorable parts of your trip.
Thinking it’s about time you finally crossed this adventure off your travel wish list? Head over to TourRadar to find the best deals on this itinerary, and to explore more Masai Mara tours!

Chapter 24: This Is What a Budget $300 Maasai Mara Safari Is Like (Maasai Mara, Kenya)
I was in East Africa and I was dying to go on a Safari. I almost died when I saw how much the tours cost. A fellow backpacker at my camp informed me of a 3D2N Maasai Mara Safari that cost US$300 that I jumped on immediately!
In the end, I was very pleased with the whole experience. My tour group and I were housed in a comfortable eco-camp about 10 minutes outside of the park for 2 nights with all the meals included. We also had 1 full day game drive along with 1 sunrise drive.
I saw so many animals from antelopes, zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions (so many lions..) to warthogs. I never saw the elusive rhino nor leopard to complete the Big Five but seeing 3 (lions, elephants, buffalo) out of the 5 was stellar!
Everyone is in the same park and will see the same animals so the more you pay, the more comfortable your accommodations and food are, but the animals will all be the same!
If you're interested in booking this safari, contact Celestine at Adventure Backpackers Tanzania. Their phone number in Nairobi, Kenya is +254 780 136 545 and there are departures almost everyday. Mention that Nico sent you and, who knows, she might give you a little bit of a discount!
Happy Safari!

• Many safari companies tell travelers that any month is great for a safari. Often their clients are disappointed when they arrive to find the weather uncomfortable or that the wildlife has dispersed because of the rains. The truth is the dry season, from June to October, is the best time to go on Safari with the peak season being August to October.
• The beginning of January through to the end of February signals the warmest and wettest period in the region which means the animals will be in shorter supply due to the start of the rainy season.
• Flooded roads and generally wet weather, at this time, makes for poor wildlife watching combined with slippery roads. Mosquitoes are also much more prevalent during this period.
• June sees the start of the dry season with waterholes and river banks teeming with animals. Being able to observe the wildebeest migration crossing the Maasai Mara and Serengeti is one of the most exciting experiences of a lifetime.
• December can also be an excellent time to visit Kenya, with lush green scenery, making an ideal habitat for migratory birds and new born animals.

Bird Watching Safari Lake Nakuru Natural World Kenya Safaris
EXPLORE ORNITHOLOGIST'S PARADISE:
Lake Nakuru National Park is spectacular. It has been a blazing sea of deep pink flamingos – millions of them! Their intense fuchsias bursting against Lake Nakuru’s deep blue alkaline waters. Quite simply… it has until some few years ago been the most brilliant show of birdlife on earth.
Due to some progressive natural factors , the flamingo numbers have been reducing but the park itself remains stunning – one of Kenya’s finest. Great rocky escarpments tower over acacia forest, waterfalls, wooded hills and euphorbia trees dot the lake.
The few quantity of flamingos is accompanied by other birdlife – pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, ostriches, storks as well as herons and eagles. The scene here is bountiful, busy and full of color.
But that’s only the beginning of what this special park has to offer because the wildlife viewing here is easy and accessible. Lake Nakuru is known for hosting some endangered but beautiful species. You’re sure to see rare Rothschild’s Giraffe along with white rhino, especially along the lakeshore.
The park is also sanctuary to one of Kenya’s largest populations of black rhino.
Another aspect to the active wildlife viewing here is observing the park’s zebra, hippo, olive baboon, vervet and colobus monkeys, waterbuck and hyena. Other big safari wildlife to be on the lookout for includes lion, cheetah, leopard and buffalo.
The park is fenced to protect the rhino and giraffe, so it can’t support elephants – the only large mammal you won’t find here.
Moving through the park’s dense acacia forest you’ll likely come upon herds of impala and waterbuck. Also, in the woodlands you may see large pythons hanging from the trees. This is the infamous African rock python that’s capable of swallowing animals whole.
Those who have been to Lake Nakuru will attest to the park’s beauty with its rich topography of hills, grasslands and forests. There are several easily attained vantage points from which to enjoy wonderful views of the landscape and especially the lake with its undulating pink population of birdlife.
Though the park is not large in size, a visit to Lake Nakuru will be a very full and colorful safari experience.
About Lake Nakuru National Park:
The park is compact at only 188 sq. km (162 sq. mi.) but that just adds to its accessibility and easy game viewing. The interior roads are well-maintained and easy to follow.
Location: Lake Nakuru is 170 km (105 m) northwest of Nairobi. It’s close enough for a day trip or a longer stay in the area.
Climate: The park has a higher elevation than most at 1,756 m (5757 ft.) and this has a cooling effect. Even though it’s near the equator, it rarely gets hot. Nor does it get too cold, too wet or too dry. Generally, the climate here is quite comfortable.
However, there are intermittent late afternoon showers, but these tend to be more refreshing than an obstacle.
Best time to visit: The park is open year-round. In many parks the wet season can put an end to game viewing but that’s not necessarily the case at Lake Nakuru. The roads are good and since the park is fenced, the animals won’t disperse.
Still, the most popular time for viewing is during the dry season from July to December.
Getting there: By road – you can book a tour with Natural World Kenya Safaris from the coast or Nairobi. From Nairobi, you’ll take the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway. The drive affords fantastic views of the Rift Valley.
By air – fly-in safaris can land at the park’s Naishi airstrip.
Things to do and see
Flamingos – Famous for its millions of fuchsia pink flamingos blanketing the shoreline. The birds are of two varieties – the greater and lesser flamingo. The lesser are the more numerous with their red bills and pink plumage. The greater variety are smaller in numbers with a distinctive black bill.
View-Points – The views of the park, the Rift Valley beyond and the wildlife below are all richly enjoyed from the hilltop vantages of Lion Hill, Out of Africa Lookout or Baboon Cliff. Just watch out for the baboons who are always looking for food scraps.
Makalia Falls – A pretty waterfall at the south end of the park. This is a wonderful spot for picnicking and hiking.
Vegetation – There’s over 550 plant species to be found in the park including yellow acacia woodlands and the largest euphorbia forest in Africa.
Discover Lake Nakuru:
For colour, variety, richness of the landscape and accessibility to the wildlife, Lake Nakuru is a special place. When you add in the millions of dazzling flamingos overwhelming the vistas with their incredible displays, the park is a must see on your safari journey.
