Nairobi National Park, Kenya in 4K Ultra HD
Nairobi National Park is located less than 10 kilometers from the center of Kenya's capital - Nairobi, and you can see animals, with the city tall buildings in the background. Many species inhabit the park: rhinos, gazelles, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, lions, elands, impala, giraffes, ostriches, vultures, wildebeests, cheetahs, leopards, various bird species. The wildlife is more abundant in the dry season. The David Sheldrick Trust runs Elephant Nursery (Orphanage) in the park.

Safari & Wildlife photography Blog stories:
During my photo-safari in Kenya, we stayed at this authentic and beautiful camp in the Masai Mara, Mara Ngenche. When not busy taking photographs in the bush, I and Dean Paarman, who accompanied me on this trip, were shooting scenes around the lodge. Here you can watch some videos we produced for them while staying at their wonderful camp.
Amboseli National Park Safari with Natural World Kenya
Discover The Giants of Amboseli
5 Amboseli safari tours,Jeep / flight options
The giants here are the great herds of elephants. Hundreds of them.
Protected from poachers, they carry their massive tusks with pride as they gather at predictable watering holes, delighting the many who come to Amboseli National Park to view these noble creatures.
Amboseli is known as the best place in Africa for getting up close to free-ranging elephants. The population is so robust here that sightings are guaranteed!
It’s just one of many reasons the park is the second most popular in Kenya – only the Masai Mara draws more visitors.
Amboseli is also a photographer’s paradise. Those wonderful photos you’ve seen of elephants seemingly posing in front of snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro? They were taken here.
Kilimanjaro, the largest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world, towers over the park like a stately and photogenic sentinel. And when the clouds burn off at dusk or dawn, you’ll be treated to visions of its snowy peak.
But it would be foolish to think elephants are the only wildlife attraction in the park. On your game drives on Amboseli’s great horizons you can spot wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, gazelle and of course, cheetahs and lions.
And not to be overlooked – smaller mammals like hyena, foxes, jackals, vervet monkey and the yellow baboon abound.
The bird life is equally rich especially in the park’s marshes and lakes. Be ready for sightings of pelicans, kingfishers, crakes, egrets and the Madagascar heron. And raptors – 47 types have been spotted including falcon and the harrier eagle.
The sky and horizon are vast here encompassing Amboseli’s 5 wildlife environments which ensure great numbers and diversity: wetlands, savannah, woodlands, thorn-bush and the dry lakebed of Lake Amboseli.
Even the word “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”.
And you’ll find the Maasai people in their villages spread around the park. You can visit with them and experience a truly authentic and ancient African culture.
On the drive in / road safaris , transportation to the park and game viewing will be in private 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep – this vehicle is the safari standard with its higher seating and rugged all-wheel drive. Always included on our tours, the Land Cruiser Jeep is just another example of the value we offer you at Natural World Kenya Safaris.

MANDA BAY - a member of The Safari and Conservation Company
Manda Bay is a small private lodge on Manda Island in Northern Kenyas Lamu / Kiwayu archipelago.
Sixteen spacious cottages line the beach overlooking the calm waters of Manda Bay. Formerly the Blue Safari Club, it has been renovated and reopened under new management.
Manda Bay is on a secluded peninsular of the island where guests enjoy total privacy and tranquility. The neighbouring island of Lamu is a twenty minute boat-drive and it's ancient town, now a world heritage site, is a popular place to visit.
Surrounded by magnificent coral gardens, empty beaches and indigenous woodland, Manda Bay is a glorious destination for both active and leisurely holiday makers.
Its own airstrip allows for guests to arrange private charters into the lodge but there are two daily scheduled flights into Lamu from Nairobi and two from Nairobi via Malindi.

Northern Kenya with #SafariNaMarafiki
You go into the wild with strangers and you're bound to come back as friends! This is exactly what happened on the recent #SafariNaMarafiki trip where a group of strangers got onto an overland truck together in an attempt to conquer the north.
Their spirit of exploration was wonderful to see and their interactions with the local communities we passed along the way should set an example to all travellers. We learn from each other.
Smiles became laughs, exhaustion became exhilaration, strangers became friends. It was an incredible experience.

Many thanks to Afia Tours ( for taking on this amazing village food day trip in Ghana (Note: I paid for this tour, it is not sponsored, but I fully recommend it - it was awesome)!
It was about a three hour drive from Accra to get to the village. The village was somewhere in the central Cape Coast region of Ghana (however no near to the coast, but much inland). The people from the village were so incredibly friendly, and it was one of the most genuinely hospitable and friendly villages I’ve ever visited. It was an honor and privilege to spend time at the village.
As we arrived, they had already started cooking some Ghanaian food specialties. One the menu, we had banku with okra soup, fufu (a staple of West African food) with palm nut soup, and finally fried plantains with beans. All the food was incredibly good, and it was one of the best bowls of fufu I ate during my entire time in Ghana.
Thanks again to Afia Tours ( for setting this up!

Authorities begin census of Kenya's wildlife
Kenya is taking stock of its wildlife, as poaching and drought continue to reduce the population. A mission is underway to count the animals from the air - one by one. The census started this week in Tsavo East, a massive national park south-east of Nairobi. CGTN's Soni Methu and Eric Mukenga joined the team.
Nyama Choma: Tanzanian Roasted Goat - African Street Food!
Nyama choma, roasted meat, is one of the most beloved things to eat in East Africa. Read more deliciousness here:
Every Time I arrive back to East Africa, which is usually Kenya or Tanzania, it doesn't take long for me to get the craving for some proper nyama choma. Nyama choma means roasted meat, and you can usually order beef, chicken, or the most common meat: goat (also known as mbuzi choma Kiswahili). Though I ate plenty of nyama choma in Kenya during my growing up years, this video, and my most recent article and experiences are from Tanzania, in the Dar Es Salaam area.
On one lazy Sunday afternoon, we decided to hit-up one of the truly local style nyama choma joints in the outskirts of town. This restaurant is actually not really a restaurant at all, but it's literally just someone's home who opens up their yard as a communal meat devouring and relaxing place. Every Sunday, they decide to hold goat roasts, or nyama choma feasts. There's a pen with live goats in the yard, and when there are enough customers, they slaughter one of the goats, and hang the fresh meat in the butchery. When customer begin to arrive, they select the chunks of meat that they wish to partake of, and the butcher will then slice it right off the goat carcass and throw it onto the grill. Eating nyama choma is a culture of its own. Most of the customers are men, and they go to a nyama choma restaurant with their friends to relax, normally drink plenty of beer, and chow down on free range and freshly cooked meat.
So I arrived on Sunday afternoon, my mouth already watering to get a taste of that roasted goat, the smoke pouring over the entire yard in meaty goodness. We chose a 1 kilo section of meat off the goat leg and the butcher chopped it ferociously with his machete and threw it on the grill with nothing more than a handful of salt and MSG. Don't expect your nyama choma, or any other food you order in East Africa, to come quickly. Eating nyama choma is more of a leisure experience; You sit around and wait for 1 or 2 hours until the meat is finished cooking. Our meat took about 1.5 hours or so, until it was done through and through.
When your nyama choma is finished cooking, the butcher then grabs his big knife, places your hunk of meat on a chopping board, and slices through the goat meat like it's butter. He cuts it all up into bite sized pieces, puts it on a plate, and it's served with little more than a pile of salt on the side of the plate, some chili peppers, and lemon wedges on the side. Nyama choma is one of the great East African dining experiences. The goat meat is definitely on the chewy side, but you can just taste that incredible natural and free range flavor from the meat. I'm a huge fan of East African nyama choma!

Saddlebill Stork and Sacred Ibis in Freshwater Wetlands, Kenya | Wildlife in 360 VR
A saddlebill stork and African sacred ibis stealthily forage for fish, frogs, and other prey in the freshwater wetlands of Maasai Mara, Kenya. The saddlebill easily stands out from other wading birds with a height up to 5 ft, wingspan at nearly 9 ft., colorful banded beak and pink-knobbed knees. Hunting alongside it are the smaller sacred ibis, white-feathered birds, referred to and worshipped as Thoth by the ancient Egyptians.
