Soirée in the Cities | Roller Skating at Blue Cross RiverRink
Let’s have some fun, why don’t we! We are about halfway through Summer and I do not know about you, but I am enjoying myself. Philadelphia has some of the greatest events for all ages that you cannot help but join in on the fun. This time I checked out Soirée in the Cities Girls Night Out, a New York City inspired touring event that caters to women who love fashion, health, beauty and everything in between! I also went to the Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest where I enjoyed being a kid again! This is one classic funfastic Summer in this Week in Review of our incredible city of brotherly love, Philadelphia!
Soirée in the Cities Girls Night Out is for every type of woman. This event travels city to city catering to the fashionista, the makeup guru, or the wellness nut! My best friend, Jeri, and I decided we would check out the Philly tour stop since I had heard so much about it. The cost was only $15/per person, which did not break the bank. The experience included over 25 vendors selling clothing, jewelry, makeup, accessories, health and wellness products, lingerie and even stun guns. All of this while partaking in free cocktails and cupcakes! Who could resist? There were also special workshops that we could sign up for. We had a fabulously sophisticated time and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The Soirée will be back in Philly on Saturday, September 22nd, so be sure to get your tickets at and do so before they sell out!
If you did not already know, I am truly a kid at heart…adventure is my middle name! The Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest was the perfect opportunity to explore that side of myself. It was so much fun! If you are unfamiliar with the RiverRink, it is a seasonal park – sponsored by Independence Blue Cross – located at the Delaware River waterfront. Make plans to visit and have fun playing carnival games, riding the ferris wheel and carousel, eating Franklin Fountain’s ice cream, or roller skating on their outside rink! While the park itself is free to enter, the ferris wheel, games, and skating do require a small fee. My friend, Nicole and her stepson, Eli, joined me on this fun-filled quest...needless to say, we tried everything and had an absolute blast! You have to appeal to whatever your kid at heart desires…you will surely have a good time! For more info and pricing visit
Oh and by the way, Ice Cream Month is just about over. I want you to know I thoroughly enjoyed every single cone. If you are following me on social media then you know that over the last couple weeks to visited two more fan favorites when it comes to the creamy goodness. Weckerly’s in the Fishtown section of Philly, which just may be my new fave. Man, oh man! Their French style ice cream was so smooth flavorful, and the shop is just the cutest! I also went to Bredenbeck’s in Chestnut Hill. You may have heard of their bakery, but have you heard of their ice cream parlor? Right next door - score! Be sure to check out both of these shops the next time you are in those areas! Please note: July is not over, so I will be going all out on these last couple of days. This is all for you, you know!

Oi queridos, tudo bom?
Today's video is about visiting one of the oldest North American cities, Philadelphia, which is located in the state of Pennsylvania, and is affectionately called “Phili” and may also be known as City of Brotherly love . Phili is a city with a lot of architectural detail that reminds us well of Europe - ahhh, Europe, miss ❤️ - (just kidding, I've never been to Europe ????), but I read that because it was an English colony, the city suffered several influences of that time - good for who loves taking a photo, right?). We also visited to Rocky Step, famous for Rocky Balboa movie. The Art Museum, the Benjamin Franklin Pier and I had my first experience skating on the Blue Cross RiverRink.
The details of the tour I explained on the Facebook of the Channel (
