The Inside Voice Special - The Same Stream
For anyone who has been part of an ensemble, music means community – and that sense of community is evident in the formation of The Same Stream choir. The members of The Same Stream are all graduates of Westminster Choir College whose love and commitment to the choral arts led them to come together after graduation and continue to sing with one another. Now, under the direction of conductor James Jordan, they are working together to produce a new album consisting of the works of composer Paul Mealor.
This album, called Serenity, was recorded in the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia. It will be produced by Grammy-winning recording engineer Andrew Mellor in conjunction with seasoned producer Adrian Peacock. Pepper spoke with members of the choir as well as conductor James Jordan, Andrew Mellor, Adrian Peacock, and Paul Mealor.

USCCB Papal Visit 2015
Pope Francis visited North America—Cuba, the United States, and the United Nations—from 19 to 27 September 2015. It was his first state visit to both Cuba and the U.S.,as well as the third official papal visit to Cuba and the seventh to the United States since the U.S. established full diplomatic relations with the Holy See in 1984.
The published itinerary from the Vatican described the trip: Apostolic Journey of His Holiness Pope Francis to Cuba and the United States of America, and Visit to the United Nations Organization Headquarters, on the occasion of his participation at the Eighth World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia.
The visit to the United States consisted of three cities: Washington, D.C., New York City (including his visit to the United Nations), and Philadelphia which hosted the World Meeting of Families. Tickets to attend public events with the pope were hard to obtain or sold out very quickly.

Pope Francis’ September 2015 visit to Philadelphia
The Pope was in Philly Sept. 26 and 27, 2015 for the World Meeting of Families, in his first visit to the United States. The city first anticipated crowds of about 2 million, but then had trouble filling hotel rooms, and transit demand that weekend was weaker than usual. Pope Francis spent two days in Philly, and bunked up with Archbishop Charles Chaput at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood. Crowds were estimated to be smaller than the anticipated one million, and many Center City businesses reported losses for the weekend.
The Philadelphia Prison Systems was honored to host Pope Francis during his visit on September. 27, 2015 during the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia.
