Running Tour of San Francisco
I woke up early and ran 3.5 miles around San Francisco before work and I saw some awesome stuff! You can follow my route here:
In this run, I start at Pier 39 and say hello to the sea lions. Then I run up to the top of Telegraph Hill to see the view from Coit Tower. Then I wander the neighborhood on the backside of the hill before heading down to Columbus. Then up to the top of Russian Hill and Lombard Street, the crookedest street in the world. Finally I ran down to the water and out to the end of municipal pier.

The San Francisco cable car system is the world's last manually operated cable car system. An icon of San Francisco, the cable car system forms part of the intermodal urban transport network operated by the San Francisco Municipal Railway. San Francisco, California, USA, is a beautiful, exciting and diverse, cosmopolitan city. You can always find something new to see here. San Francisco’s reputation as a city where almost anything goes dates back to the days of the California gold rush. Consistently ranked as America's Favorite City, San Francisco never ceases to entertain. The cable cars are pulled by a cable running below the street, held by a grip that extends from the car through a slit in the street surface, between the rails. Each cable is 1.25 inches (3.2 cm) in diameter, running at a constant speed of 9.5 miles per hour (15.3 km/h), and driven by a 510 horsepower (380 kW) electric motor located in the central power house, via a set of self-adjusting sheaves. Each cable has six steel strands, with each strand containing 19 wires, wrapped around a sisal rope core to allow easier gripping. (More here: The WWII submarine, Pampanito's keel was laid down by the Portsmouth Navy Yard in Kittery, Maine, on 15 March 1943. She was launched on 12 July 1943, and commissioned on 6 November 1943. After shakedown off New London, Connecticut, Pampanito transited the Panama Canal and arrived at Pearl Harbor on 14 February 1944. Her first war patrol, from 15 March to 2 May, was conducted in Saipan and Guam. She served on lifeguard duty south of Yap, then scored two torpedo hits on a destroyer before sailing for Midway Island and Pearl Harbor for refit and repairs to a hull badly damaged by depth charges. Walking at Market Street to Ferry Building 【4K】in San Francisco Downtown
Walking at Market Street to Ferry Building (A long walk) in San Francisco Downtown, San Francisco, California in the United States took by Apple iPhone XS Max 【4K video Dual OIS Dual 12MP rear cameras】“Market Street is a major thoroughfare in San Francisco, California. It begins at The Embarcadero in front of the Ferry Building at the northeastern edge of the city and runs southwest through downtown, passing the Civic Center and the Castro District, to the intersection with Corbett Avenue in the Twin Peaks neighborhood. Beyond this point, the roadway continues as Portola Drive into the southwestern quadrant of San Francisco. Portola Drive extends south to the intersection of St. Francis Boulevard and Sloat Boulevard, where it continues as Junipero Serra Boulevard.
Market Street is the boundary of two street grids. Streets on its southeast side are parallel or perpendicular to Market Street, while those on the northwest are nine degrees off from the cardinal directions.
Market Street is a major transit artery for the city of San Francisco, and has carried in turn horse-drawn streetcars, cable cars, electric streetcars, electric trolleybuses, and diesel buses. Today Muni's buses, trolleybuses, and heritage streetcars (on the F Market line) share the street, while below the street the two-level Market Street Subway carries Muni Metro and Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART). While cable cars no longer operate on Market Street, the surviving cable car lines terminate directly adjacent to the street at its intersections with California Street and Powell Street.” in the United States took by Apple iPhone XS Max 【4K video Dual OIS Dual 12MP rear cameras】

Fisherman's Wharf is a neighborhood and popular tourist attraction in San Francisco, California. It roughly encompasses the northern waterfront area of San Francisco from Ghirardelli Square or Van Ness Avenue east to Pier 35 or Kearny Street. The F Market streetcar runs through the area, the Powell-Hyde cable car lines runs to Aquatic Park, at the edge of Fisherman's Wharf, and the Powell-Mason cable car line runs a few blocks away.
San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf gets its name and neighborhood characteristics from the city's early days of the mid to later 1800s when Italian immigrant fishermen came to the city by the bay to take advantage of the influx of population due to the gold rush. One, Achille Paladini, found success wholesaling local fish as owner of the Paladini Fish Company, and came to be known as the Fish King. Most of the Italian immigrant fishermen settled in the North Beach area close to the wharf and fished for the local delicacies and the now famed Dungeness crab. From then until the present day it remained the home base of San Francisco's fishing fleet. Despite its redevelopment into a tourist attraction during the 1970s and 1980s, the area is still home to many active fishermen and their fleets.
In 2010, a $15 million development plan was proposed by city officials hoping to revitalize its appearance for tourists, and to reverse the area's downward trend in popularity among San Francisco residents, who have shunned the locale over the years.

San Francisco, everyone’s favorite city, is located at the tip of a peninsula between the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific coast. A compact city of steep rolling hills surrounded on three sides by water, San Francisco is renowned for its summer fogs, Victorian architecture, cable cars and beautiful vistas. Just remember: Don’t call it Frisco and do bring warm clothing. The famous quote “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco” isn’t from Mark Twain but it is a pretty accurate statement of San Francisco’s weather. San Fran Run In the City 9 10 16
Running the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco - 4K
We love trails, but when you live in San Francisco, it would be rude not to run over the Golden Gate Bridge for a blast of fresh sea air and great views!
Head on this run early in the morning to beat the crowds. The fog may sometimes obscure the views (especially in summer), but the experience is awesome regardless of the weather.
There are two parking areas on the north side of the bridge, although most visitors will be more likely to start a run on the south (city) side, where there are lots of parking options. Another option if you're visiting from the city is to hop on a bus or ride-share vehicle north over the bridge, get off on the other side, and run back, like we did in this video.
