City of Norwich Aviation Museum
This slideshow features a summer 2013 visit to the City of Norwich Aviation Museum charity (CNAM) in Horsham St. Faith, Norfolk, England - a Traveling Top Ten aviation museum for 2018. I've retained the original Youtube music from my 2014 posting of this slideshow, as it's so damn sexy . . a timeless classic.
Immediately alongside Norwich International Airport, the old RAF Horsham St. Faith, the museum has since been separated from the airfield by the new NDR Norwich northern bypass, a trip along which now affords some interesting new views of the museum. Many of the museum charity's static aircraft had to be moved into new museum locations to make way for the road, so this is an interesting look back at the museum and its aircraft before they dug turf for the bypass. I must say it was one glorious summer's day, with skylarks singing in the surrounding fields.
This museum always feels dynamic, as aircraft are coming and going from the adjacent airport. The skies above are routinely visited by F-15s, Typhoons, and Tornadoes. Other aircraft you can spot high overhead most weeks include KC-135s, RC-135s, C-130s in their various guises, C-17s, and A400Ms (which often perform low circuits). There are regular surprises too, as the British, American and NATO military seem to have taken a shine to Norfolk's wide skies in general . . and Norwich in particular.
You can visit the City of Norwich Aviation Museum online at or visit their Facebook group at .

Norwich Aviation Museum
Norwich Aviation Museum is based at Norwich Airport. It has about 20 aircraft outside that you can get up close and personal to. It also has a few cockpits and some internal displays within the buildings (that I have not shown here). These are the current aircraft as of 2017, and include: Lightning, Vulcan
Hunter, Meteor, Mystere, Nimrod, Harrier, Whirlwind, Jaguar, Shooting Star, Herald, Cessna, Piper.
Incidentally it wasn't as cold as the wind noise might suggest. I was wearing a T-Shirt after all.

Norwich A Living Medieval City
Norwich, a living medieval city, has a history of more than a thousand years. The region was influenced by Romans, Saxons, Vikings and Normans, and had a significant position in both religion and trade. The initial appearance of the city was formed during the Middle Ages. Many famous buildings, such as Norwich Castle and Norwich Cathedral, were established during the Middle Ages and still stands beside the people living within the old city walls. Many of the medieval buildings are converted to new uses suiting the life in the 21st century. The ancient city has combined with its modern part, making Norwich what it is today.
My last personal project before I leave the UK. Show my love to Norwich and the memory of my life in this fine city. Special thanks to Huina Kong.

Norwich is a city on the River Wensum in East Anglia and lies about 100 miles north-east of London. Norwich is the regional administrative centre for East Anglia and county town of Norfolk. During the 11th century, Norwich was the largest city in England after London, and one of its most important. Until 1950 the city was an undivided constituency, returning two MPs. Since that date the area has been divided between two single-member constituencies: Norwich North and Norwich South.
The principal local football club is Norwich City, also known as the Canaries, who play in the second tier of English football, the Championship, after being relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2015–16 season.
