Cleveland Way National Trail
The North York Moors National Park is home to the nation's favourite national trail, the Cleveland Way. The 109 mile long route meanders through dramatic coastline and heather moorland, whilst offering stunning views of historic castles and abbeys, imposing sheer cliffs and fishing villages tucked into tiny coves, it really does have it all!
North York Moors - Coastal Walk and Cliff Top Wild Camp
In this video we walk a section of the Cleveland Way from Robin Hood's Bay towards Scarborough. We followed the trail along the stunning North Yorkshire coastline before camping for the night overlooking the sea. We witnessed a spectacular sunrise before making our way back to the car at Cloughton.

Discover England's Great Walking Trails - The Cleveland Way
With stunning moorland, fabulous views, ancient castles, characterful coastline and fishing villages tucked into coves, the Cleveland Way National Trail is one of England's most varied trails and offers a true taste of the North York Moors.
Commissioned by Marketing Peak District and Visit England, a video was created to promote 7 of England's long distance walking trails. Each video aims to showcase highlights of each trail, whilst conveying some of the experience of walking the trail.
Filming the video series was fantastic. We travelled up and down the UK, visiting some beautiful areas and national parks and all the videos were filmed in 6 weeks.

Hiking the Cleveland Way - Part 2, Sutton Bank to Osmotherley
An overcast day walking between Sutton Bank and the village of Osmotherley in the North York Moors National Park. I look at the White Horse of Kilburn before heading on over farmland and moorland, viewing the last bits of flowering heather.
Wild Camping along the Cleveland Way North Yorkshire.
Solo wild camping along the cleveland way in North Yorkshire, between Captain Cook and Roseberry Topping.
My first ever solo wild camp using the OEX Phoxx 1 tent.
The oex phoxx1 tent is good as in lightweight and has a low profile however i couldnt sit up in the tent so i would personally say it is more of a summer wild camping tent to limit the tent time as you have to lay down.
This was a last minute wild camp to basically test my gear in cold conditions to see if they live up to the expectations.
I start my wild camp by parking at the captain cook car park and walking up the steps to the left to the top and turn left over the stile and pitch my tent in the trees in the pitch black.
I was rather nervous on doing a wild camp by myself but once you get out and pitch your tent and start actually wild camping all is not what you fear.
You do hear rustling and little things that make you jump however your wild camping in the countryside and animals live there but just remember there more scared of you than you are of them.
The following morning i had a walk on the Cleveland Way to Roseberry Topping.
Hiking the Cleveland Way - Part 1, Helmsley to Sutton Bank
Starting the Cleveland Way in the market town of Helmsley, I make my way over farmland to Sutton Bank where I get some excellent views of the Vale of York.

North York Moors - Forest Activities
As one of the most wooded of England's National Parks, our woodlands and forests are an unexpected treasure, from strolls among ancient trees to a wander through the bluebells. Hit the trails in Dalby Forest, England's largest cycle trail centre, or head out on the high ropes course and Segway rides at Go Ape, while Sneaton Forest is home to the magical Falling Foss tea garden.

North York Moors - Coastal Path & Roseberry Topping
This video sees my daughter and I go on a spare of the moment camping trip to the North York Moors. We did a quick Google search for campsites, chucked all our kit in the boot of the car and headed for Robin Hood's Bay. We chose to stay at the Hooks House Farm Campsite which has excellent views of the Bay, after pitching up we had a wander down to the beach to do some Fossil Hunting. The following day we walked along a section of the Cleveland Way that follows the coast to Whitby, after the obligatory fish and chips we then headed back to the campsite. We had a drive across the moors on the final day of the trip and slowly made our way over to Roseberry Topping. My daughter sat this part out while I had a quick dash up and down the locally named Matterhorn of Yorkshire. It was a thoroughly enjoyable trip and I'd definitely like to return to the North York Moors again soon.
