A history of the culture centre
The centre was founded in 1994 by mr. Saifuddin Khanbhai and has since grown to the large complex that you see today.
What to do there?
Browse through the many forms of art, including paintings, photography, carvings and many more. You most likely would need at least half a day to go through the whole lot as the place is enormous but luckily enough, there are two eateries on site where you can take a break and refuel your energy reserves. There also is the option of buying any art that catches your eye, in which case no matter how large it is, they will ship it to you.
The centre is not limited to art only, there are other items to sample such as jewellery, clothes, spices and leather products, all of which you could sample or buy. You can also watch movies at the cinema for a small fee, with the option of tribal or wildlife documentaries but these do require pre booking. Similarly you could spend some time in the day rooms as a break from wandering through the expansive compound. Entrance into the centre is free but access to some areas require extra fees.
Location of Cultural Heritage Centre
The heritage centre is located in the western outskirts of the city of Arusha - Tanzania, along the highway that is headed to Babati. This same highway takes you to Meserani snake park and several of the region's national parks such as Serengeti and Ngorongoro, making this an good place to visit while on the way there. Also, when coming from the city, there are several shopping centres and bookshops that may be worth looking into.

Tanzanite
Tanzanite is the blue/purple variety of the mineral zoisite (a calcium aluminium hydroxyl Sorosilicate) belonging to the epidote group. It was discovered in the Mererani Hills of Manyara Region in Northern Tanzania in 1967, near the city of Arusha and Mount Kilimanjaro. Tanzanite is used as a gemstone, and naturally-formed tanzanite is extremely rare, still found only in the Mererani Hills.
Tanzanite is noted for its remarkably strong trichroism, appearing alternately sapphire blue, violet and burgundy depending on crystal orientation. Tanzanite can also appear differently when viewed under alternate lighting conditions. The blues appear more evident when subjected to fluorescent light and the violet hues can be seen readily when viewed under incandescent illumination. Tanzanite is usually a reddish brown in its rough state, requiring artificial heat treatment to bring out the blue violet of the stone.

Changing Habits in Tanzania - The Solution to eradicate trash
THE SOLUTION TO ERADICATE TRASH? ????????????♻
It's easy as 1,2,3:????????
1. Implement a country wide obligation for companies to sell products in 100% recyclable packaging (most solutions already exist) ????????
2. Implement a deposit scheme for all these packaging????????????
3. Close the loop by recycling / reusing this material ♻
It makes so much sense that I don't know why it is not yet widely implemented????
This system distributes money from the people who discard to the people who collect in a closed loop with no waste created ????????????
We can all participate by doing our part, and influencing companies and government to take action in this direction. ???????? ????
The least we can do is buy products which are already part of this closed loop system!????????
Check out how Zaidi Recyclers are paving the way to a cleaner future in Tanzania! Making profit and providing revenue for the population, while cleaning the country! ♻????????
