DUTCH STREET FOOD TOUR // Haarlem, the Netherlands
A quick day trip from Amsterdam is Haarlem! Did you know that Harlem, NY was named after Haarlem in the Netherlands? It's THAT important! And New York used to be New Amsterdam...is your mind blown yet?!
In less than a 1/2 hour from Amsterdam, you are in a lovely Dutch town that all us Amsterdammers even love to visit...Haarlem. Where the people are friendly, it's not crowded, and it's still the traditional incredible Dutch architecture you know and love.
Take a Dutch street food tour in a quieter setting than you can get in Amsterdam while getting delicious and quality food that completely represents what is typically eaten here.
My favorite bite? Apple pie! What would be your favorite thing to try?

Dutch STREET FOOD Tour Must try foods Rotterdam / Amsterdam
In this episode we take you on a street food tour of the Netherlands and show you the must try street foods of the Netherlands.
We toured both Rotterdam and Amsterdam and tried as many local street foods as we could.
In Rotterdam we headed to the Markthal (Market Hall ) main market and the weekly large outdoor market. There were so many amazing street foods that we had to try. We sampled raw herring - a national favourite, stroopwafel and kibbeling.
Then when we visited Amsterdam we headed to the Albert Crypt market, the most famous market for street food in Amsterdam. There was an a large variety of different street foods for us to try and tried the famous Poffertjes - also known as the Dutch mini pancakes.
Then something a bit more unusual Turkish Gozleme. Made in front of you these were delicious.
If you head to the Netherlands you must try some of the Dutch street food you won't be disappointed.
We hope that you enjoy this episode .

Amsterdam Food - Amsterdam Food Tour in De Pijp
Want to explore the Amsterdam food scene? Looking for the best fries in Amsterdam? An Amsterdam food tour is one of the best ways to discover the city. One of the best Amsterdam Food Tours is offered by Eating Amsterdam / Eating Europe. The Twilight De Pijp food tour is a walking tour which offers a glimpse at the multi-cultural food on offer in Amsterdam, including Indonesian Cuisine (rijsttafel), the best Fries in Amsterdam, beer from a local brewery, French Choux pastries at a French patisserie and Turkish delicacies, amongst others.
Amsterdam is one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world. This means that there are many cultures and cuisines on offer in Amsterdam. De Pijp, an Amsterdam neighbourhood, is the original multi-cultural spot. This neighbourhood buzzes with activity at all times of the day and night. It’s slightly outside of the Amsterdam city center and is steeped in culture. On the Amsterdam Pijp Food Tour we spent an evening exploring the streets and getting to know the neighborhood (and its local people) through food.
This time I was joined by the one and only, premier Amsterdam Food Blogger, Vicky Hampton from Amsterdam Foodie: amsterdamfoodie.nl/
Places visited:
My Little Patisserie: Eerste Van der Helststraat 63

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Late Night Food Guide to Amsterdam
Abel hits the streets of Amsterdam for the best late night food in this Dutch city. He starts the night off at an Amsterdam institution, Cafe Schiller in Rembrandt Square, for the fried balls of dough and meat known as bitterballen, or “brown gold,” before biking over to Roopram Roti, a Surinamese restaurant that serves the city’s best roti.
After a few more drinks, Abel heads to FEBO, a vending-machine restaurant that serves burgers and sandwiches, and talks to a few Amsterdam locals. He ends the night at Metsut 2 for kapsalon, a dish invited in the Netherlands that's made up of French fries topped with shawarma.

FAQ's:
Q Where are you from?
A I am born in former Yugoslavia. Mom is Serbian, Dad is Bosnian. During the '90's war we came to the Netherlands and I got Dutch nationality. Have been living in Amsterdam for over 5 years.
Q How can you afford to travel so much?
A I saved for 3 years while working full time and now travel vlogging is my job. I work together with tourism agencies but also do some freelance work on the side. You can watch this video: and this one: to learn more about my story.
Q What camera do you film with and what editing software do you use?
A Canon G7X Mark II and Final Cut Pro X
Q (Why) Are you vegetarian?
A I'm vegetarian but not strict. I don't eat any meat, fish, cooked/boiled or fried eggs. I gradually became a vegetarian over the course of 15 years because I disliked the taste of meat more and more. After doing a yoga teacher training in 2015 I also quit fish and the eggs. No matter my food preferences I have no issues with other people not being vegetarian. I don't judge others and kind of expect the same favor from others concerning my own food preferences. It makes for a more friendly world :-)
Q Why do you usually travel alone?
A Because my friends have jobs with limited holidays, kids and partners. Also I really like exploring on my own.
Q Why do you love India so much?
A Watch this video: and this one:
