Paramotoring - Flight 8 - A view over Bath (UK) approaching sunset!
A great flight with some other pilots on the outskirts of Bath, a city in the South West of the UK. It was approaching sunset and so we couldn't fly for long, but made the most out of it!

Hot Air Balloon Flight | Frilford Heath to Horspath, Nr Oxford | G-OCGD | 2nd June 2018 PM
A video timelapse of my hot air balloon flight from The Dog House Pub at Frilford Heath near Abingdon to Horspath, near Oxford. I was flying a cloudhopper, where the traditional wicker basket is replaced by a seat and harness, the balloon equivalent of the motorbike versus the car.
Overall, I flew for just under an hour covering a total distance of 8.5miles, reaching a maximum altitude of nearly 3000ft as I crossed over the A34 just after the RAF airfield at Abingdon.
Paragliding at Eype, West Dorset, UK, May 2006 v2
Went down to Eype quite early on the 5th. May 2006; a first time at this site, and had my best flying day for a good few weeks. The wind a bit light early on and some orographic fog on top of Thorncombe Beacon. Later the wind way off to the West. A couple of us hung around on the beach for a bit and it paid off, as later in the day it really switched on for a while. There wasn't much lift low down, but if you got up, above 100m or so it was very 'lifty' and I got 210 m above launch (275 m asl.)at Thorncombe Beacon. The lift band went well out to sea and I lost very little height getting back to launch. Someone on the ground said I looked as though I had a motor on my back! Even 360 'ing over the beach I was still gaining a little height.
Great day.

The Fokker Dr.I (Dreidecker, triplane in German) was a World War I fighter aircraft built by Fokker-Flugzeugwerke. The Dr.I saw widespread service in the spring of 1918. It became famous as the aircraft in which Manfred von Richthofen gained his last 19 victories, and in which he was killed on 21 April 1918.
In February 1917, the Sopwith Triplane began to appear over the Western Front.[1] Despite its single Vickers machine gun armament, the Sopwith swiftly proved itself superior to the more heavily armed Albatros fighters then in use by the Luftstreitkräfte. In April 1917, Anthony Fokker viewed a captured Sopwith Triplane while visiting Jasta 11. Upon his return to the Schwerin factory, Fokker instructed Reinhold Platz to build a triplane, but gave him no further information about the Sopwith design. Platz responded with the V.4, a small, rotary-powered triplane with a steel tube fuselage and thick cantilever wings, first developed during Fokker's government-mandated collaboration with Hugo Junkers. Initial tests revealed that the V.4 had unacceptably high control forces resulting from the use of unbalanced ailerons and elevators.
Instead of submitting the V.4 for a type test, Fokker produced a revised prototype designated V.5. The most notable changes were the introduction of horn-balanced ailerons and elevators, as well as longer-span wings. The V.5 also featured interplane struts, which were not necessary from a structural standpoint, but which minimized wing flexing. On 14 July 1917, Idflieg issued an order for 20 pre-production aircraft. The V.5 prototype, serial 101/17, was tested to destruction at Adlershof on 11 August 1917.

Cottesloe Beach WA FEB 2007 FREMANTLE PERTH WESTERN AUSTRALIA PART 2 OF 2
HANG GLIDING KITE BOARDING SWIMMING SURF LIFE SAVERS HISTORY The district was named Cottesloe on 21st September, 1886. The first recorded visit by Europeans to the Cottesloe district occurred much earlier with the arrival in January 1697 of three Dutch ships under the command of Captain Willem de Vlamingh. It was a further 132 years before any settlement was made. The first of a group of British settlers (under the command of Captain James Stirling) to settle in Cottesloe was John Butler on 250 acres with river frontage (now Peppermint Grove). Convicts, transported from the United Kingdom, were put to work on the Perth to Fremantle track and in 1858 the road was completed. Cottesloe was declared a suburban area at the time it was officially named, but it was nearly two years later before the first 4-acre lots were sold. In the mid 1890s there was a rush to take up land and a number of houses were erected. With sea breezes being considered good for one's personal constitution, Cottesloe beach began to attract residents and day visitors and also led to the establishment of the Ministering Children's League Convalescent Home. The first decade of the 1900s saw a change in the status and further development of Cottesloe. With the intention of attracting new residents, the Roads Board developed and promoted the beach front. However issues soon arose over beach attire and behaviour including the contentious issue of mixed bathing. Safety then became the dominant concern, leading to the formation of volunteer life saving patrols in 1908, which in turn led to the formation of the Cottesloe Life Saving and Athletic Club and the erection of a clubhouse. It was also during this period that Cottesloes renowned Norfolk Island pines were first planted in Cottesloe in John Street. During the years of 1910 to 1920 Cottesloe continued to grow and despite competition from other beachside areas Cottesloe beach continued to draw crowds of people on the weekends. New guest houses and tea-rooms were built, particularly arond the John Street area.

Gliding on Long Mynd
The Long Mynd is a heath and moorland plateau that forms part of the Shropshire Hills in Shropshire, England. The high ground, which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, lies between the Stiperstones range to the west and the Stretton Hills and Wenlock Edge to the east. Much of it is owned and managed by the National Trust.
The Long Mynd has been home to the Midland Gliding Club since 1934. The club owns 136 ha of land on the south end and flies gliders there throughout the year. It runs residential training courses and offers trial lesson flights to members of the public.

'Human swan' lands in the UK
(5 Dec 2016) A conservationist known as the Human Swan touched down in the UK on Monday after a record-breaking flight, following the annual migration of Bewick's swans.
Sacha Dench landed in Dover, Kent after completing the three month, 7,000 kilometre (4,349 mile) journey from Russia to England in a paramotor, a single-propeller device with a parachute.
The 41-year old's epic flight was designed to raise awareness of the swans' dwindling population.
Dench also set the record for the first female paramotorist to cross the Channel from France to England.
She plans to visit Downing Street to deliver a petition to the government asking for greater swan conservation.
Dench will finish her journey next week (weather permitting) in Gloucestershire at the Slimbridge Wetland Centre.
