From Cambodia To Vietnam - Arriving Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) ????????
This is our first time in Ho Chi Minh City ( Saigon ) It was pretty challenging on the first night we got here - you know the first struggle is, of course; taxi, but we managed to get through that with the help from Vietnamese lady in the green dress????????????
Interested in the most in-depth guide to Seoul? Click here:
Arriving late at night since we landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) was not easy as we were hungry at about midnight, so we decided to leave the apartment and wandered around the neighborhood in search of food, with the help from locals we met along the road, it was fun guys ????
Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnamese: Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh), also known by its former name of Saigon (Vietnamese: Sài Gòn), is the most populous city in Vietnam. Located in southeast Vietnam, the metropolis surrounds the Saigon River. From 1955 to 1975, Saigon was the capital of the Republic of Vietnam, commonly known as South Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh City is the financial center of Vietnam and is classified as a Beta+ World City It is home to the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the largest stock exchange by total market capitalization in Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh City is also the most visited city in Vietnam, with 6.3 million visitors in 2017. Many of the city's landmarks which are well known to international visitors include the Bến Thành Market, Ho Chi Minh City Hall, Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, Independence Palace and it’s popular destination to have the day trip to Cu Chi tunnel and Mekong delta.

How to tour Ho Chi Minh City | Safe or Not? | Taxi Scam | Bahn Mi is Life
Had the chance to tour Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam in a full 3-day itinerary, by Janine.
With just around 50 USD you'll have budget friendly food and amusement entrance fee paid as well as taxi cab.
By the way they serve service water when you're dining in.
Bahn Mi tasted so nicely without the green leafy things.
Well, that is just for my taste. Don't mind my being ignorant.
The exhibit in the War Remnants Museum is a tear jerker.
The Café Apartment is a must visit place. It's like Starbucks but a homemade-theme one.
Food in Ben Than street food market is so affordable and delicious.
Buy all you want at the Ben Than market but don't forget to bargain. Do away with the tourist price ????
Be careful with taxi cabs. Touristy places are walking distances themselves. If you're tired, go Grab. No taxi-ing please. My experience with a fake Vinasun taxi was quite bad.
Accommodation is so instagram-able same with the post office, city hall, the Café, and the cathedral. Do away with too much filter and editing.
My overall rating for the whole tour : 89%
Special thanks to Rob Bryan for the photos I grabbed. Also to Daress Trisha and Janine for some of their shots, Sharee Lou for capturing some for me, Venus and Liane for being the subject of the shots ???? #luckypipol

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
Ho Chi Minh City(Saigon), Vietnam-5 Things You Should Know Before You Visit
Need to book a hotel for Saigon, (Ho Chi Minh City), or anywhere else? Using this link to book your hotel with Agoda will give you the same great price and help us out with a small commission:
These aren't all of the things you should know before you visit Ho Chi Minh City or Saigon, Vietnam but it's a start. It also allows me to start this series on Vietnam's largest city! This is an incredibly fascinating city and when you visit your are really watching the process of a rapidly expanding, modernizing city. For now there's still lots of traditional and local neighborhoods that feel like the real Vietnam. I hope have a chance to visit these places as well as seeing all of the famous sites.
For Yellow bus 109 here's the link with all of the stops: . There's also a Yellow bus 119 that will take you to the bus station where you can move on to Can Tho and the Western provinces.
I personally use Grab and the GoViet apps for motorbike taxis around the city. If you want to be picked up at the airport by one of them you'll need to walk outside of the domestic terminal area where the motorbikes have to stop.
I hope you find these tips helpful. Please let me know what else you'd like to learn about Ho Chi Minh City.I plan on doing lots of videos on food, finding vegetarian and vegan food, good coffee, local producst and more! Don't forget to subscribe to my audio podcast:

4 DAYS IN VIETNAM |4日間のベトナム旅
Direct flights from Fukuoka to Hanoi only take 3.5~4 hours, and run every Tuesday and Saturday, so when Tatsu got 5 days holiday, we knew exactly how we wanted to spend it.
We spent 2 days in Old Quarter, in the heart of Hanoi City, eating all the food, sightseeing, and hanging out with the cool volunteer tour guides from Hanoi Kids ( ). I mention that everything is cheap in Vietnam, but to give you an idea of just how cheap, our centrally located Hotel was $28 USD a night, for a room much bigger than any $100 hotel in Japan.
A bowl of Pho will cost about $2 USD. Tatsu and I could have a filling lunch for about $5 USD. Vietnamese Beer costs about $1 USD, and is a welcoming refreshment on a hot day.
Taxis can scam you, so you'll have to be careful and make sure they use the metre when you are riding, but we could get around town for on average, $3-4 USD per ride. Much cheaper than what we pay in Japan. The 40 minute drive to the airport cost $15 USD by Taxi. In Japan you'd expect to pay much, much more for the distance.
For our entire trip we budgeted $300 USD for spending for the two of us ($150 usd each), and we still had money left over by the time we got to the airport to fly back to Fukuoka. We aren't budget travellers and don't try to save money, so if you are someone who prefers to spend less money, it's definitely possible.
Then we took a tour to Halong Bay, a Unesco World Heritage Site, featuring over 1,600 islands. The scale was so vast and incredible, and the tour was really relaxing and a well-deserved break from our busy life in Japan. (Did I mention we had no WiFi, so we were totally disconnected during those two days as well!)
We booked with AClass Tours, and although we booked the Legend cruise, we got upgraded to the Stella Cruise, which was more expensive, nicer bedroom, for no extra cost. ($120 USD for each of us.) The $120 each covered the 3.5 hour shuttle bus round trip, accommodation on the boat (beautiful ocean-view suite), all the national park entry fees (maze cave, floating village), four meals (lunch, dinner, breakfast, lunch), free wine tasting on ship, and even my visa letter. (Canadians need to apply for a visa before arriving in Vietnam, Japanese don't. The company I booked through took care of my Visa letter for free with reservation of the cruise.)
I booked on
(This isn't sponsored by the way, I'm just writing this all down because when I was planning the trip I had a really hard time figuring out all this stuff myself. Hopefully this helps anyone who wants to plan their own trip!)

Inside a Ho Chi Minh City public bus travelling from the city to Thao Dien
Here's a short video of what it is like inside travelling on a public transport bus in Ho Chi Minh City on the way back to Thao Dien.
A ride on the bus used to cost us 6000 VND each way for adults and we didn't have to pay for children, except for our eldest at times who is taller than most other Vietnamese children and was sometimes classed as a student depending on the ticket person.
You can buy bus ticket books that are a little cheaper for fares but there are ticket people on each bus too that will take cash so make sure if you're going to use a bus you have some VND.
The public buses in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) aren't too bad to use to get around the city as most are clean and there are enough of them that they come past the stop regularly until quite late in the evening.
We were pretty much the only foreigners that caught the bus from memory, I can't remember seeing anyone else using the local system but I'm sure there will be.
Why wouldn't you?
You get to see the sights and the cost is very good too although it can take a little longer to get where you need too compared to riding a motorcycle.
Vietnam Travel Guide: Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ho Chi Minh
Gorgeous beaches, fascinating and complicated history, incredible food, lush nature; Vietnam is a country that truly has it all. Whether this country is first or fiftieth on your list, our travel guide has all the information you need to know if you’re planning (or dreaming of planning!) a trip to Vietnam.
Leave your expectations behind if you’re heading to Vietnam: here, you’ll eat noodles for breakfast, do your shopping in the middle of the night, and discover a country with a new story around every corner.
Hanoi more than delivers on urban excitement. If you’re looking for unique and mouth-watering food, the night markets of the Vietnamese capital should be your very first stop. You can enjoy a zippy ride on a scooter, all the street-food you can eat, and a night exploring the rapid development of this modern city. From trendy clubs to traditional puppet shows, experience a nightlife that’s all Vietnam’s own, and eat and drink the night away with locals and visitors alike!
Of course, Vietnam isn’t all fast-paced cities and rooftop bars. For a slower pace, head to Ha Long Bay and sail alongside limestone islets, with their lush rainforests towering above your head. The water is emerald-green, matching the vibrant greenery, and a sailing excursion here is like nothing else you’ve experienced before! A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the islets of Ha Long Bay are said have been thrown into the bay by a dragon protecting the people of Vietnam. Take a junk boat tour for a close encounter, or try scuba diving or snorkelling in the bay!
You’ll find a new adventure around every corner in Vietnam. From breakfast in the Bình Tây Market and a secret tunnel system in Ho Chi Minh City, to sailing along the Mekong Delta in a traditional basket boat, you can find your perfect trip - no matter what that looks like - somewhere in Vietnam.
There’s no time like the present to start planning an adventure of your own in this majestic country, so why not start today? Head over to TourRadar to explore the range of tours available, or watch more of our videos exploring Vietnam if you still haven’t gotten enough of seeing the beautiful views and incredible adventures you could be having.

[Ho Chi Minh City] Police & Ambulances in Heavy Traffic!
Captured here are several ambulances responding with lights and sirens in heavy traffic at a busy intersection in Ho Chi Minh City's District 3. A traffic police officer was seen preparing to make way for a police escort coming from Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Unfortunately my view of the police motorbikes was heavily obstructed by traffic.

VN 409 Boeing 787-10 Vietnam Airlines Dreamliner Business Class Flight Review Seoul to Ho Chi Minh
Greetings! Today, we fly with Vietnam Airlines on-board a very new Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner in Business Class from Incheon Airport Seoul, to Ho Chi Minh, Saigon! The flight number was VN 409.
Time stamps:
1. 0:45 - view of the Boeing 787-10 basking in the sun
2. 1:35 - settled in my window seat
3. 2:01 - was that a portable fan? Not one, but two!
4. 3:40 - I lay out the amenity kit for this flight. Very nice yellow bedroom slippers too!
5. 4:48 - the menu for lunch
6. 7:00 - as we taxi to the runway, I spotted many KAL jets, including a 747-400 passenger variant
7. 8:40 - Amuse Busche was served (along with my champagne)
8. 9:08 - Starter was served, Korean style salad and small stuff
9. 9:30 - Main was served (beef rib with rice)
10. 11:00 - Care for some cheese?
11. 11:45 - Along with some ice-cream?
12. 13:15 - The guy still had his fan on... amazing...
We were in Seoul for a holiday, and today we begin our trip back to Singapore on Vietnam Airlines, from Seoul to Ho Chi Minh and then onward to Singapore. We arrived at Incheon Airport, Seoul, in good time early in the morning. We wanted to get our tax refund, and after that, check-in was smooth though even at this time (around 0745hrs) the line to clear security was quite long.
After clearing security and immigration, we reached the restricted area of Incheon Airport, which was large and rather crowded. Signages weren't good and we couldn't find the KAL Lounge (which we were told by the check in lady that it was before the train ride to the Concourse), so we asked a member of staff and was told it was beside 'Starbooks'. Here is the review of the KAL Lounge, which was newly opened in June 2019. After getting some breakfast, we made our way to the concourse (had to ride a train) and got to Gate 111 in good time. Boarding hadn't started yet when we got there, so we waited for bit.
Once boarded started, we got on board quickly and found out seats. I had a window seat today. The aircraft used was a rather new Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner. Business class was in a reverse herringbone, 1-2-1 configuration.
Overall, service onboard was very good. Even though the flight was not very long (flight time under 5 hours), it felt like a long-haul flight with a nice amenity kit, pillow and blanket. Welcome drink, I chose champagne. After take off, meal service began.
It started with Amuse Boche, and again I chose champagne for my drink.
For the main meal, they had run out of the Western style appetizer, so I had no choice but to take the Korean-style appetizer, which was fine with me as it was interesting to look at and the taste was good. For the main, I chose the Asian style Beef rib with rice. The beef came in slices, which suited me fine. The taste was good, and the beef was tender enough.
After the main, there was dessert (ice-cream) and also cheese. The stewardess also came around with a tray of sliced fruit, which I chose a few. Overall, it was a wonderful meal, and I enjoyed it while watching a movie on the entertainment system.
Post-meal, I converted the seat into a lie-flat bed, and managed to get about 2 hours of sleep before it was time to land.
Good experience on Vietnam Airlines and I would fly with them again. Thanks for watching!

[Singapore] Air Ambulance Transfer to Vietnam (Civic Ambulance Service)
Captured here is a Toyota Hiace transfer ambulance of a private medical company called 'Civic Ambulance Services', which provides air ambulance, regular ambulance, and sea ambulance services in Singapore. This vehicle was seen at Terminal 3 of Changi Airport to check in a patient being transferred on a Vietnam Airlines flight to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The last clip shows a Vietnamese transfer ambulance waiting to receive the patient on the tarmac in Ho Chi Minh City. These kinds of patient transfers, to and from Singapore, are often done for people seeking advanced medical treatment in the Southeast Asian city-state.

High-quality Infrastructure Boosts Trade on PRC-Viet Nam Corridor
For 25 years, six countries in the Greater Mekong Subregion have been promoting regional economic development. Upgrading cross-border transport networks is a key area of investment.
Six well-developed road networks now connect the countries of Southeast Asia.
The final leg of the 813-kilometer North-South Corridor from Kunming in southern People’s Republic of China to Hai Phong, Viet Nam, was upgraded in 2014. People and goods now flow freely all along the route.

Bike Road Trip Danang to Hue via Hai Van Pass
I just want to share our experience traveling around Danang recently.
Tempat ni agak jarang orang kita datang maybe sebab susah nak cari makanan halal, sampai ada seorang pakcik kat airport Danang tu tegur kitorang kenapa choose Danang and not Ho Chi Minh, salah book tiket ka? ????
But overall, we enjoyed our trip so much and gained many wonderful experiences and new friends. ????
Total budget (flight not included)- 400MYR (2200,000 VND)
Rent motor - 24MYR/day(120k VND/day) total rent 4 days(480k VND/96MYR)
Hotel - 1125k VND(4Days 3Nights) 562,500 VND/pax
Oil - 85k VND
Grab - 80k VND (airport transfer pergi balik)
Ba Na Hills ticket- 750k VND
Makan/Shopping - 480k VND
Day 1
3:15P M sampai Da Nang International Airport, terus beli simcard untuk internet/GPS.
Beli dekat area arrival hall je ada stall colour biru.
Sim Vinaphone - 180k VND(MYR32), data unlimited for 15 days
Call grab to Anna Hotel at Danang City area - 38k VND (MYR7)
Sewa motor dari hotel - 120k/day(MYR21). Sewa untuk 4 hari terus (480k VND) sebab memang plan nak pakai motor je pi semua tempat.
Isi minyak full tank 70k VND (MYR12), dapat2 motor tangki kering. ????
Petang sampai malam ni pusing2 area Danang City. Traffic sini memang tak beragak. Hati kena keras nak hadap bunyi hon kenderaan non-stop and driver yang mengganas. ????
10 minit fire show start pukul 9pm dekat bahagian kepala naga tu (Weekend only)
(Area bandar Da Nang nie je ada 3 jenis jambatan, Dragon Bridge, Han River Bridge and Thaun Phuoc Bridge the longest suspension bridge in Vietnam)
Jalan2 cuci mata area Son Tra market berdekatan Dragon Bridge. Parking motor 5k(guarded). Boleh beli souvenir sini, but i prefer shopping at Han market coz lagi banyak choice.
Day 2
Hai Van Pass from Da Nang to Hue Province (Half day)
Located half an hour outside of Da Nang and an hour and a quarter from Hoi An, Hai Van is the 21 kilometres long road thats offers you beautiful, impressively gorgeous mountain & seaview along side the road. Breathtaking!
We're tempted to stop frequently coz of that gorgeous view.
Start journey from Da Nang pukul 8am and sampai Lang Co Beach(Hue) around 11pm.
Balik hotel mandi, solat and rest.
3pm - Ride to Hoi An Culture Village (Half Day)
30km from Danang City (1 hour journey)
Parking motor di tempat yang disediakan sebab tak boleh bawak masuk kenderaan untuk jalan dalam kawasan town tu.
Area sini dah macam ala2 China town. Colourful and banyak port best nak bergambar.
Di sini boleh naik beca and perahu kalau nak. Kedai2 untuk shopping baju & sourviner merata2 kat sini.
Day 3
Ba Na Hills ( Day Trip)
43km from Danang City (1 hour & 45 min journey)
Kalau rasa tak confident or nak elakkan lenguh pinggang boleh ambil grab pergi sini. Tapi kami decide nak lenjan motor je sebab dah alang2 bayar. ????
Kawasan parking motor ada guard and kita akan diberi ticket number for security reason.
Sampai2 terus pergi beratur beli tiket, sebab sampai pagi lagi so queue tak panjang.
Tiket (750kVND/130MYR) include semua except museum wax.
Day 4
Before terbang balik, pergi Han Market dulu shopping t-shirts, kain pasang, souvenir.
*Kami memang pack makanan siap2 dari Malaysia sebab makanan halal susah nak cari kat area Danang ni. But still ade few restaurant yang offer halal food
#FamilyIndianRestaurant #MumtazIndianRestaurant*

It will run for 19.7 km from Bến Thành Market, underground for 2.6 km past the Opera House, Ba Son Shipyard, and then cross the Saigon River on an elevated track, passing through District 2 on the way to Suối Tiên Park and the terminus in Long Bình in District 9. In all, Line 1 will include 14 stations, with three of these (Ben Thanh, the Opera House and Ba Son) being underground.
Work to build a US$28 million depot in Long Binh for Line 1 began on February 21, 2008.Construction of the elevated section, east of the Saigon River, started in August 2012. The contract for the 3-station underground segment was to follow shortly after. The Japan Bank for International Cooperation will provide US$904.7 million to meet 83% of the cost, and the city government US$186.6 million.
Completion of Line 1 was originally planned for early 2018, but is now planned for 2020.[1] Planners expect the route to serve more than 160,000 passengers daily upon launch, increasing to 635,000 by 2030 and 800,000 by 2040. All stations along the route are expected to accommodate the disabled, with automatic ticket vending machines, telephone booths, rest rooms, subway doors and information bulletins accessible to the handicapped and visually impaired.
Unfortunately, as the basic systems engineering such as Requirements Management, Systems Assurance and the pre-requisite transverse engineering studies of noise and vibration, stray current mitigation, earthing and bonding have not been undertaken by the Japanese consultants or Japanese contractors, the Technical Designs of the Japanese contractors cannot be completed or approved.
VIETNAM: Ho Chi Minh City Management Authority for Urban Railways has selected a consortium of Shimizu and Maeda Corp to build the underground section of metro Line 1.
The 2.6km underground section of Line 1 will run from Ben Thanh Market to Ba Son Shipyard with three stations. Work is divided into two packages. Package 1B covers the section from Opera House to Ba Son, including a four-level station at a depth of 40m at the intersection of Nguyen Hue and Le Loi boulevards. The station is planned for completion in April 2015, with track laying due to finish in March 2019.
