Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

The ships lost in the Great Storm Of 1913
This eleven innocent girls were lost to the Great Lakes Storm Of 1913 taking the souls of all aboard these tough looking iron girls the names are in order of their photos in the video:
S.S. Regina
S.S. Charles S. Price
S.S. Henry B. Smith
S.S. Wexford
S.S. James Carruthers
S.S. Isaac M. Scott
S.S. Leafield
S.S. John A. McGean
S.S. Argus
S.S. Hydrus
United States Lightship LV-82 Buffalo
Argus and Hydrus were sisterships and Hydrus was following James Carruthers until they were both caught in the storm and were lost with all onboard 100 years after the disasters a wreck was discovered to be the Henry B. Smith Argus broke in two when she went down and was discovered in 1972 upside down while her sister Hydrus was discovered in 2015 Regina's wreck was discovered in 1986 largely intact but upside down on November 10 1913 a bulk carrier was discovered upside down in Lake Huron this was first thought to be Regina but was eventually identified as Charles S. Price many of her crew were discovered to be wearing life jackets from Regina which led many to believe that Regina and Charles S. Price had collided this was proved false by the discovery of Price's wreck now it is believed that Regina was offering assistance to the crew of the doomed Charles S. Price only to sink herself Jame Carruthers was Canada's newest and largest bulk carrier at first many believe she could not have gone down but sadly wreckage ashore confirmed their worst fears she sank only months into her life only being built earlier in 1913 Isaac M. Scott was discovered half buried in the mud of the river floor in 1976 with her nose still pointing into the storm John A McGean was discovered in 1985 with evidence that she was hit by a large wave Wexford was found in 2000 intact and sitting upright Buffalo was a lightship that was stationed in Buffalo, New York when she was lost with all six hands she was raised in 1915 and decommissioned in 1936 it is unknown what happened to her after 1936 as of now Hydrus remains the most recent wreck discovered while the wrecks of Leafield and James Carruthers have still not been found
May these eleven old girls rest in peace as well as their crews
