Historic Town Hall Museum - City Of Homestead
Aspace For3 visits the Historic Town Hall Museum in the City Of Homestead Florida. Built In 1917 and was added to the United States National Register of Historic Places. The Museum was founded in 1994 by Ruth Campbell, the wife of Harold Pete Campbell, the grandson of Thomas Campbell whom Homesteads Campbell Drive is named after. Ruth Campbell served as vice mayor of Homestead and City Council woman. During our visit we were greeted by the lovely tour guide named Norma who was very welcoming, friendly and informative. We were also able to meet Florida Historian & Author Jeff Blakley who shared his knowledge and historical expertise with us. The Historic Town Hall Museum is open on Monday through Saturday from 1pm to 5pm. Admission is absolutely free and offers self guided tour or Staff guided tour. Family friendly environment with a cool fire truck on site. A must do in Homestead Florida.

Take a journey with me back in time as I explore around this old homestead site in The Green Swamp. Dating back to the early to mid-1900's people had homesteads and ranches all throughout these areas, it is now part of The Green Swamp Wilderness Preserve. As always all artifacts were left undisturbed. It is prohibited and illegal to remove artifacts from these public lands in Florida. Please be respectful of the history that does remain here. Thank you for watching and subscribe to my channel to see more old Florida videos and the beautiful wilderness areas throughout the state.

Marsh Bend Outlet Park is a great place for boating, fishing and hiking. There are many trails to roam around where you can experience some of Florida's rich wilderness and some interesting history along the way as well. During the 1800's this area was settled by James Marsh and Dr. Henry Marsh. They established homesteads nearby and established farms. As I explored around the woods I could see some traces from the past... As always I left everything undisturbed. It is prohibited and illegal to dig for artifacts, metal detect and remove such items from these public lands. Check out this link to find out information on the park:

This St Charles County Park brings history to life in December with Christmas Candlelight Walks through Historic Daniel Boone Home. We enjoyed our evening very much with the stories and characters that were there to take us back in time.
Federal Hall National Memorial
When New York was the national capital (1788-1790), the original Federal Hall was the seat of government. It was on this site that George Washington was inaugurated as the first President of the United States in 1789 and where America's Congress first met and passed the Bill of Rights. Located on Wall Street in lower Manhattan's, the current structure was completed in 1842 and served as the U.S. Customs House.

Dr. George Frison Discussing the Archaeology Site at Sunrise, Wyoming 9-2-17
Dr. George Frison, UW professor emeritus, is world renowned for his contributions to the archaeological community. Dr. Frison was speaking on 9-2-17 at the 100th Anniversary of Wyoming's first YMCA at Sunrise, Wyoming. The Powars II Paleo-Indian Red Ochre Mine site (located across from the WMCA) is the oldest Clovis red ochre mining site in North America. Currently, a team of privately-funded archaeologists and students of the Expanding Environments Program from the Western History Center are digging at a site. Archaeological remains recovered include Paleo-Indian artifacts including Clovis points, scrapers and other tools, bone fragments, and more. Many exact replicas of the artifacts were on display at the WMCA that day, and an archaeology tour was conducted.

Palm Beach, Florida: Peanut Island, The Breakers, Mar-a-Lago and more
We spend the weekend among the top of the elites in Palm Beach...not really.
We stayed at the West Palm Beach / Lion Country Safari KOA.
We took the shuttle to Peanut Island and visited the Boat House, the Coast Guard Station and John F. Kennedy's bunker. The we drove south to downtown West Palm Beach for lunch at this trendy restaurant called Avocado Grill. After that we went to the famous The Breakers Hotel, to admire its palatial architecture. We ended the day by tailing two demonstrations, one for and one against President Trump as we passed by the famed Mar-a-Lago Club.
