IKONA: Assembling point for The Great Wildebeest Migration
SETTING a natural home to migrating animals from Serengeti National Park, IKONA WMA is a community based wildlife conservation area where photographic safaris had paid a rewarding prize to local communities neighbouring Serengeti National Park.
IKONA share its borders with the Serengeti National Park, Ikorongo and Grumeti Game Reserves and Sasakwa Concession Area. The WMA is made up of five villages located in western side of the Serengeti National Park, in Serengeti District, Mara region.
Established in 2007, IKONA covers an area of 242.3 kilometres of wildlife conservation area which is home to migrating animals from Serengeti National Park and the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya.
Tourist activities are mostly photographic safaris, similar to Serengeti National Park. IKONA is a tourist attraction product and where the local communities had succeeded to participate in wildlife conservation through benefit sharing with positive results.

Ikoma Wild Camp
Serengeti Ikoma Wild camp is located in the buffer zone of Serengeti Ecosystem between Grumeti and the Ikorongo Game reserve, Northwest of Serengeti. Our comfortable permanent camp consists of 10 huts/Boma and 15 spacious tents, well furnished with ensuite bathroom. Ikoma Wild camps give you the opportunity to enjoy the stunning view over the surrounding Savannah, which is full of wildlife during the whole year.

Our comfortable permanent camp consists of 10 Bandas (traditional huts) and 10 spacious private tents. Voyage de noces en Tanzanie - Viviane et Thomas
Viviane et Thomas se sont envolés en Tanzanie pour leur voyage de noces : Safari et plage à Zanzibar, avec un guide chauffeur privé.
Ils ont visité les parcs nationaux du Lac Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro et Tarangire, à la rencontre des Big Five.
Le parc Manyara, 330 km2, situé sur la route principale en allant vers le Ngorongoro, est réputé pour la variété de ses paysages ainsi que par la richesse de sa faune.
On peut observer d’assez près de nombreux éléphants, mais aussi des girafes et quelquefois apercevoir des lions se prélassant sur la branche d’un acacia, ce qui a fait la renommée de ce parc !
En langage masaï, Serengeti signifie “plaines sans fin”. Ce parc fait partie du même et unique écosystème, comprenant : Serengeti, Masaï Mara, Loliondo, Ngorongoro, Maswa, Grumeti et Ikorongo. Les immenses plaines de Serengeti où le regard porte à l’infini sont le cadre des migrations annuelles des gnous mais aussi de gazelles et de zèbres, représentant au total près de 2 millions d’herbivores.
Le cratère du Ngorongoro est l'un des plus impressionnants spectacles naturels du monde. Plus de 25 000 animaux sauvages y ont élu résidence. Cependant le cratère ne représente qu'une infime partie de la zone protégée du Ngorongoro qui offre des espaces naturels grandioses.
Le Parc National du Tarangire est le moins fréquenté des parcs du Nord tanzanien, et pourtant il est doté d’une flore exceptionnelle composée de neuf types de végétation, allant du baobab à l'acacia parasol. La vie animale y est aussi très dense, notamment le long de la rivière Tarangire.
Ils se sont ensuite rendus à Zanzibar pour un séjour banéaire en bord de mer, en toute détente.
