Nairobi to Masai Mara Road Trip, Kenya
Hey Guys,
My second vlog of Africa Trip. ????
This vlog is all about our road trip from Nairobi to Masai Mara in safari van.
It was a long day journey but we all were super excited about our first African safari. We started from Nairobi & traveled almost for 5-6 hours.
We stopped at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to take photos and later had African food. The highway road was smooth initially, but last 60 -70 kms were super bumpy.Driving through this road was a beginning our adventure.
After hours of travelling, finally we reached to Enchoro Wildlife Camp in Masai Mara and started our first game drive.
Special Thanks to Bhagya, Priya, Anuja, Vishal & Aniket.

Nairobi Giraffe Center 5.11.2016
Giraffe Centre is a private trust as well as Giraffe Zoological Park to protect the endangered species of giraffes found in East Africa. It is legalized as African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (Kenya) Limited. It is located in Karen on South Langata Road, about 15 km from Nairobi city center. The main attraction for visitors is feeding giraffes from a raised platform for which the Center provides special food to the visitors free of charge. The Center was founded by the Scottish Jock and Betty around 1983.
The entry fee to the Center for foreign tourists is 1000 Kenyan Shillings (more than 10$) which is too much for seeing only few giraffes. It is yet another scheme of the wildlife authorities to fleece the tourists besides Nairobi National Park, Nairobi National Museum, Nairobi Snake Park, Karura Forest and Nairobi Safari Walk. The difference in entry fee to the entertainment places is sometimes more than 20 times between the Kenyan citizens and foreigners. The foreigner are ruthlessly ripped off in Kenya. So be prepared before undertaking a visit.

Marasa Africa Kenya - The Ark Lodge
Set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, The Ark, an iconic and quirky property overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. Resembling and named after Noah's Ark, The Ark is comprised of three decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide superb locations for wildlife viewing. There are four designated viewing areas from which to observe the ever-present animal activity. There is also a ground level bunker - the perfect hideout for the discerning photographer. This is a circular pillbox-like structure, and it is from this vantage point that pictures of animals on the salt lick only yards away may be taken through the view holes in complete safety, as was described in Monty Brown's book, 'Haven Under the Hill'.
So that you don't miss any animal sightings, the night guard will buzz your room when special animals come to the waterhole.
Accommodation - The Ark has 60 'cabin style' rooms. Each room has been styled to reflect the interior of a ship and has the same features including an en-suite bathroom, carpeted floors, a view of either the forest or waterhole and a buzzer system that lets guests know when special animals arrive at the waterhole or salt lick.
Aberdare National Park - Ranging in altitudes from about 7,000 to 14,000 ft above sea level, the Aberdare National Park is located 260 kilometers (162 miles) from Nairobi. The park has been a major attraction in Kenya since the 1950's and continues to be extremely popular for those who enjoy the outdoors and wildlife.
Wildlife - Visitors to the park get to see many different animals such as elephants, leopards, buffalo and rhino. These animals come regularly to the waterhole and can be seen from secure vantages nearby. Elephants dominantly rule the waterholes and salt licks and can be seen chasing hyenas away at great speed. Leopards are very shy animals however they are often spotted during the morning and evening safari drives.
While doing game drives or walks through the forest, you may see some of the various monkeys such as the colobus and vervet monkeys, for whom the Aberdare National Park is an ideal habitat. Many different species birds are also found here. In the forest there are many animals like red duiker, suni, bushbuck, elephants, buffalo, leopards amongst others. The moorland thickets are the home of the bush duiker, the black fronted duiker and also the black rhino.
There are 44 mammal species and 290 species of bird that inhabit the park.

Sopa means Welcome in Maasai language. Masai Mara Sopa Lodge is set in the Oloolaimutia valley, where the lodge totally blends in perfectly with its surrounding hillside landscape. Chinese infrastructure: A beacon of hope for Kenya
Kenya lies about 10,000 km away from China. Archaeological evidence shows that back in the 9th century, China was already being traded through the Silk Road to the eastern coast of Africa. Now, China is Kenya's biggest trading partner. The bilateral ties between the two are not limited to China any more.

Safari in Kenya : See Things You Need To Know Before Go To Safari In Kenya
National Park Masai Mara (area of 320 sq. Km.) Lies at 275 km west of Nairobi, at an altitude of 1650 m above sea level.
Its western part borders on the Serengeti - National Park of Tanzania, so in the period from July to September, you can see the movement of huge masses of animals which migrate from the Serengeti in search of food.
Here in the savannah and acacia thickets along the river Mara, are found almost all the animals inhabiting East Africa, including the population of unique black lions and Mara river itself is infested with crocodiles and hippos.
Park Masai Mara (north of the country, on the border with Tanzania) - probably the most interesting place in Kenya. The park is very large, its territory and the river, and savannah and forested areas - tour operators recommend this park for a period of at least three days. In July-October through the park takes a huge migration of wildebeest population (from November to April, they live in the Serengeti, Tanzania). The spectacle is really impressive - millions of antelopes, zebras and their accompanying predators
The wealth of wildlife Masai Mara can be compared only to the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro in Tanzania. It is home to about 80 species of mammals and 450 species of birds.
During the great migration that takes place from August to September on the Masai Mara moved more than 200 thousand. Zebras, about 500 thousand. Thompson gazelles, 1.3 million. Wildebeests.
Kenya Safari is adventure of tourism.
Masai Mara National Park - one of the most famous sanctuaries of the Black Continent. The existing ban on hunting is not only applies to the Maasai tribes living on these lands.
Tusk elephant, rhino horn, lion skin, cheetah - for a long time the hunting trophies brought good money. And the better things went from hunters and dealers, the less chance of survival remained in African Safari wildlife. The number of the largest and most beautiful inhabitants of the savanna is rapidly declining - in the middle of the twentieth century seemed to save Africa's rich wildlife from extinction can only wonder.

THINGS TO DO IN NAIROBI KENYATRAVEL NAIROBI KENYA
Where in the world can you take photos of animals against a city skyline?
Well here are my thoughts on why you should visit the Nairobi National park. If you’re lucky, you can see the lions hunt in the morning. It's a great escape from the city and an excellent introduction to the wildlife of East Africa if you are on your way to other parks or you have some time to spare.Featured is Nairobi National Park,The Nairobi Animal Orphanage, and spinets of the David Sheldric Elephant Orphanage.
Nairobi National Park is a national park in Kenya. Established in 1946, the national park was Kenya's first. It is located approximately 7 kilometres south of the centre of Nairobi, Kenya's capital city, with an electric fence separating the park's wildlife from the metropolis the first national park in Kenya, homes more than 50 rhinos and over 400 species of birds, making it a wildlife sanctuary.Plenty to animals to see - Lions, deer, buffalo, giraffe, rhino and warthogs just to name a few.
