Ep 8 Oak Lawn - Feel the Fun of this Dallas LGBT Area | DTX
Oak Lawn is a high-energy and super-fun neighborhood just minutes from Downtown to the north. It's a welcoming neighborhood and is the LGBT center of Dallas. Here we learn more about Dallas Pride and the parade that takes place every September here along Cedar Springs Road.
Oak Lawn is filled with unique retail boutiques, shops, eateries, bars and dance venues. We visit a neighborhood landmark, Lucky's Cafe, a retro diner with farm fresh food. We also hit the Cedar Springs Strip, which hosts the area's best bars and clubs, and explore S4, a huge nightclub with several bars, a great dance floor, and a drag show that runs nightly.

Segments of the city stretch out into Collin, Denton, Kaufman, and Rockwall districts.
Dallas and adjacent Fort Worth at first created because of the development of real railroad lines through the region enabling access to cotton, steers, and later oil in North and East Texas. The development of the Interstate Highway System strengthened Dallas' noticeable quality as a transportation center point, with four noteworthy interstate parkways meeting in the city and a fifth interstate circle around it. Dallas at that point created as a solid modern and money related focus and a noteworthy inland port, because of the combination of significant railroad lines, interstate roadways, and the development of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, one of the biggest and busiest air terminals in the world.
Dallas is evaluated a beta(+) worldwide city. Federal Signal Modulator 2008, Attack/Wail: Franklin, TN (Williamson Co. Tornado Siren Test, HD)
Copyright 2017, Brandon Mendel (Please use with permission).
Originally Recorded 7/1/2017
The words loud and Modulator isn't something that goes together in the siren world, but hey, it runs wail so that's always a plus. This one is located at a parking garage in downtown Franklin, TN. You may remember Charlie's video of this same siren when the system was experiencing radio issues. From ground level, its mounted pretty high for a siren this size, but if you enter the parking garage up to the top level, you can get up close and personal. From there, it wasn't bad volume wise. Everything sounded clear, and the echo was cool as well. I actually jumped when this first went off and it's far from the quietest siren I've done. I've never mapped out their entire system, but coverage seems well-saturated. Towards the end, you can hear a couple 2001s finish a cycle of attack before shutting down.
Enjoy, and as always comment, like, and subscribe for more. Thanks!
