Lincoln Christmas Market, held in Lincoln, England, is one of the largest Christmas markets in Europe, attracting up to 250,000 visitors over the four-day event.
Held around three weeks before Christmas, the Lincoln Christmas Market spreads around the historic centre of Lincoln including the castle and cathedral. As well as stalls selling goods there is a funfair with Ferris wheel, open air classical music and rock concerts and traditional events such as beer barrel rolling.
The number of visitors is so great that a circular one-way system for pedestrians around the streets of Lincoln is put into place. The route includes travelling through the grounds of Lincoln Castle. Lincoln Christmas Market was the first Christmas market in the UK. It started in 1982, after Council Leader, Jim Sullivan and two other Lincoln city councillors visited Neustadt an der Weinstrasse (Lincoln's twin town) and were impressed by the Neustadt Christmas Market. When they came back to Lincoln, they set up their own Christmas market consisting of just fourteen stalls.

The Famous Lincoln Christmas Market
The famous Lincoln Christmas Market takes over Lincoln's Cathedral Quarter with stalls, entertainers and seasonal themes for four days of festive entertainment and shopping.
There is something for everyone at the Christmas Market, from unusual gifts to food & drink from near and far, not to mention a whole host of entertainment for all the family to enjoy.
Take in the scents of mulled wine and freshly cooked food, the sounds of entertainment, music and merriment and the sights of this market in the stunning, historic city of Lincoln.

Lincoln Christmas Market 2018
I went to the Lincoln Christmas market 3 out of the 4 days it was up and running and had an absolute blast. It was super busy so getting footage was a challenge but I thought I would put together what I had so I could share my experience with everyone! Was a lovely market, would recommend it to anyone and would love to come back sometime!
