Austin and the Round Rock area in Texas start off the list because of the Barton Springs pool located within Austin’s Zilker Park. Shopping Inside a Goodwill Thrift Store - Florida
shopping for used clothes that were donated through charity.
Goodwill Industries International Inc. is an American nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides job training, employment placement services, and other community-based programs for people who have disabilities. In addition, Goodwill Industries may hire veterans, individuals that lack education or job experience, or face employment challenges. Goodwill is funded by a massive network of retail thrift stores which operate as nonprofits as well. Goodwill's answer to its profit status is As a unique hybrid called a social enterprise, we defy traditional distinctions. Instead of a single bottom line of profit, we hold ourselves accountable to a triple bottom line of people, planet, and performance.[3]
Goodwill operates as a network of 164 independent, community-based organizations in Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico, Panama, Uruguay, the United States, Canada and 8 other countries. It slowly grew from its founding in 1902 and was first called Goodwill in 1915.[4] In 2014, Goodwill organizations generated a total of $5.37 billion in revenue, 83 percent of which was spent directly on programs. In that time, the group provided 89 million total employment and community services, with more than 26.4 million people served and more than 318,000 people placed into employment. [5]
Goodwill's logo, a stylized letter g, resembles a smiling face. It was designed by Joseph Selame in 1968.[6]
Currently, there are two public faces of Goodwill. Organization expert Lorie Marrero is the face of the Donate Movement, which began in 2010. ABC correspondent Evette Rios partnered with Goodwill in 2012 to help appeal to the Latin American market.[7][8]

► Shaka Guide for Road to Hana:
Best Things to do in Maui
► The Road to Hana! The Road to Hana was our favorite single day in Maui, it was a day absolutely PACKED with adventure! Our two biggest tips for the Road to Hana are to get and early start, and to use the Shaka Guide. When you start early, you'll beat a lot of the traffic and have more of the sites to yourself. Using the Shaka Guide will make sure you don't miss any amazing sites and waterfalls!
► Snorkel with Sea Turtles! There are snorkeling opportunities all around Maui, and the best part is that there are Sea Turtles at most of the spots! Honolua Bay & Black Rock are two places you can drive to and snorkel for free, where we saw 4-5 sea turtles at EACH PLACE! Molokini Crater is the most beautiful place to snorkel on Maui, however you can only get here by boat on an excursion.
► Haleakala at Sunrise! Haleakala at sunrise is one of the most stunning views you can imagine. You are above the clouds and get to see the sun rise over that horizon of clouds! It is an inverted sunrise people... You need a permit for this, which costs $1, but you have to get it at 7am 2 days before you are planning on going. Don't be late because they sell out fast!
► Pride of Maui Excursions. We took the Pride of Maui to Molokini Crater for snorkeling and for their dinner cruise! We had a blast on each trip, and highly recommend these tours. The guides were awesome, the food was great, and we got to experience a side of Maui that we wouldn't have been able to experience otherwise!
► Nakalele Blowhole. This is what it sounds like. There is a hole in the rocky coast North of Lahaina where water periodically shoots out of like a giant blowhole! It is super cool, and pretty incredible how high the water sprays!
► Farmer's Markets! You have to love fresh fruits and vegetables, and Maui has some of the best tropical fruits in the world. Head to a farmer's market (there are many on the island, we went to the one in Lahaina) and sample the local fruits and veggies, and bring some home to enjoy on your trip!
Where to Stay in Kauai
We recommend getting an Airbnb or hotel in the Lahaina area of Maui. We loved that area and felt like we were right in the middle of everything we wanted to see and do in Maui!
If you have any questions, we would love to hear from you in the Comments or on our About Us page. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi, we are Julie & Zach, a couple who sold everything in 2018 and took off an adventure around the world! So far, this journey has taken us in a van ALL ACROSS the United States and Canada, from snorkeling with manatees in Florida to camping in the Grand Canyon to climbing glaciers in Canada, and everything in between! We were both working and going to school while living in Chicago in 2017 and 2018, and to be honest it really wore on us. We were exhausted, unfulfilled, and ready for an adventure. So, we made it happen! We saved up AS MUCH as we could over those 2 years - all homemade meals, no shopping, walk or bike everywhere, etc - and sold almost all of our belongings! With that money, we bought a renovated a van that we have been living in ever since! We started our YouTube channel a few weeks ago and have been loving creating videos! When we started, we were SO SO SO SO bad at it, and to be honest we still kinda suck, but we want to get better! What videos do you want to see? Let us know and we will make it happen!
We believe that travel is truly a life-changing experience, it certainly changed ours! When you get out of your everyday world and experience new cultures, foods, places, people, sights, sounds, and take an adventure, you grow as a person and you become a better version of yourself! You are WAY stronger than you know, and stronger than you give yourself credit for. You have the ability to do anything, so make it happen! BE FOREVER FREE!

Why Spam Calls Are At An All-Time High
Robocalls are at an all-time high. On average, Americans received more than 2,000 robocalls every second in October, up 25% from the previous month. With 49 billion robocalls so far this year, all four major U.S. phone carriers now offer some form of blocking or screening service, such as T-Mobile's well known Scam Likely label. Congress and state officials passed new robocall regulations in recent months and have seen an uptick in successful cases against the scammers. Meanwhile, hundreds of tech start-ups are developing new ways to tackle the problem.

S1:E6| Sailboat Adventure to Treasure Island & Clipper Cove
We sail out into the sunset....well motor actually. Regardless, we're headed out for some Island Time! Even if just for the weekend...for now, we escape to Treasure Island and Clipper Cove for a couple of chill nights at anchor. Paddle boards, beach time, reading and rum! It also happened to be the last weekend of the month which means that the Treasure Island Flea was under way! (Now, called the Treasure Fest)
We'd never been to the little art show before but we'd sailed past a month earlier and saw a great line up of food trucks, bars and heard live music playing. Of course we knew we needed to head back for an adventure!
Clipper Cove is actually one of our favorite places to boat to as it is a beautiful sail or only about a twenty minute motor over from our slip at Emery Cove. There is something really different about our mindset when we're at anchor out away from the dock. For one, we don't have endless electricity or water. We're forced to think about how much of both of those precious commodities we consume. We spend a lot less time online and more time laughing together and reading and playing in the sand. That's the good stuff.
There's more to it than that though. A while back, Jen's Great Uncle Robert told us some stories about the 'Great San Francisco World Fair' that was held on Treasure Island in 1939 and 1940. He told us it was the first time he'd seen a video camera work. His father was in one room and waved at the camera while he was in another and he could see him on the screen. He was overwhelmed with fascination. I came home and hopped online to find some absolutely amazing footage. I've included some of it in this episode.
I also found some footage that showed Clipper Cove in 1939 or the early 1940's which revealed how it got it's name. The founder of Pan American Airlines built boats that were made to fly from the US all the way across the Pacific Ocean. He named them Clipper Planes, in the hopes that people would associate them with the Clipper Ships that were well known to be the great ocean liners of the maritime world. I often sit in our cockpit and gaze out over the water imagining one of those giant, old planes revving it's engines up for a take off across the Pacific, toward Hawaii. Crazy!
We also stumbled across a simple advertisement which was run during the exposition that read, Don't Fail to Visit the Incubator Babies - On the Gayway - Kept alive in incubators. Worlds tiniest little babies born prematurely. Truly authentic - ethnically operated. What TF?! As you can imagine, Jen gasped, got up from the table and stomped off. I too was shocked that this could have possibly been real and went straight to Google. This article from BBC titled, 'How One Man Saved A Generation of Premature Babies', tells a bit more of the story and explains things in more detail. Yikers!
There is so much more fascinating history about Treasure Island, Yerba Buena and Clipper Cove. If it's interesting to you, go check out the Treasure Island Museum website.
We hope you enjoy this episode and would definitely appreciate a share. Thank you all for the nice comments as well. Super helpful and supportive!
