Rome Regola is traditionally an artisan district and lies on the left bank of the Tiber between Ponte Garibaldi and Ponte Mazzini.
We come from Trastevere, enter the district over the Ponte Sisto and follow the Via Pettinari.
Past the church of the Santissima Trinità dei Pellegrini. She was once a pilgrim home.
At the end of the street we discover the church Santa Barbara alla Regola, in Rome commonly called Santa Barbara dei Librai. The church dates from the late 17th century and is guild church of the booksellers.
We turn right into Via dei Giubbonari and reach San Carlo ai Catinari, a church from the 18th century.
We turn around and follow the Via dei Giubbonari up to the Campo de' Fiori .
At the Campo de 'Fiori (english: Field of Flowers) is daily, except Sundays, a very popular market place. Besides flowers, mainly fresh food is offered here. The hustle and bustle takes place under the Monument of the philosopher Giordano Bruno, who was burned here because of Freemasonry. Moreover, here the Reformer Giovanni Mollio and his pupil Tisserano were burned.
We notice the people providing themselves with fresh water from one of the numerous fountains. The drinking water from these fountains is safe to drink.
Due to its numerous restaurants and pubs, the Campo dè Fiori is as well a popular meeting place in the evening.
From here we reach the Corso Vittorio Emanuelle II and take a bus back to the hotel.

Campo De Fiori Food Market Rome Italy an Entertaining Vendor
While exploring the Campo De' Fiori Food Market in Rome Italy, I came across the stall where this man was entertaining the tourists with his sales pitch. I don't know how good his food prep too is but of all the vendors at the Campo De' Fiori Food Market he was always the most crowded so I'm sure he was doing well.
Campo De' Fiori is a busy square in Rome Italy that plays host to an open air food market that is very popular among tourists and I'm sure locals as well. With it's spices and fresh produce, there's even a meat vendor where you can get a great porchetta panini, the Camp De' Fiori Food Market has something for everyone and is definitely worth a vist when you're in Rome.

CAMPO DE' FIORI (ROMA, ITALY)
PIAZZA CAMPO DE'FIORI, Roma, Lazio, Italia.

Campo de' Fiori is a rectangular square south of Piazza Navona in Rome, Italy, at the border between rione Parione and rione Regola. It is just diagonally southeast of the Palazzo della Cancelleria and one block northeast of the Palazzo Farnese. Campo de' Fiori, translated literally from Italian, means field of flowers. The name was first given during the Middle Ages when the area was actually a meadow.
Campo dei Fiori in Rome at sunrise
Early morning at Campo dei Fiori in Rome is a delightful experience. This is one of the only things to do so early in the morning in Rome, so if you are up early, feeling jet-lag maybe, stroll over to the Campo, have some coffee, and watch the merchants set up their market stalls for the fresh fruits and veggies. Then walk over to Roscoli bakery, two blocks away, for some of Rome's best breads.
