How To Bikepack
Title: How to Bikepack
By: LessonsFromAnAmateur
This video shows the viewer how to bikepack effectively, and starts at the very beginning. Bikepacking is essentially backpacking with a bike, and many of the lessons presented in this introductory video overlap heavily with backpacking. This video's true value is the introduction to the bike gear, and the introduction to packing the bike itself.
In order to teach the viewer how to bike pack, the process is split up into five steps. Step 1: Scouting the location/trail. Step 2: Gathering a group (safety by numbers). Step 3: Gear. Step 4: Packing the bike. Step 5: Enjoying the trip (maybe this doesn’t count as a step).
Please enjoy this video. It is full of little hints and tips to help one's first bikepacking trip go smoothly. Always ride safety, and never go somewhere new or far away without a team.
This is the first of many tutorial videos I’ll be making that quickly introduce adventure skills that aren’t already covered in depth on YouTube. If you’re interested in learning a few less common skills, and expanding your excursions, subscribe to my channel. You won’t regret it.

FLY FISHING THE COLORADO RIVER | LEES FERRY (EP 101)
We learned the expensive way... wait for a need until you buy. Here are all our favorite RV products ✅
*This is a small way to help keep our channel going that doesn’t cost you any more money and all purchases are private.
The #1 question we get is “what is your favorite place” and our answer is always the same. It’s impossible to compare the beauty of two extremes. Lees Ferry is an extreme. This destination is a site in Marble Canyon on the Colorado River separating Arizona from Utah. It will feel like you’re at the bottom of the Grand Canyon and in a way you are. To make this destination even more magical, it’s directly below the Glen Canyon damn that is breathtaking in its accomplishment.
Horse Shoe Bend is a highly visited destination near Page, AZ. It was our first destination of SN1. Now two years later, we are at the same place, but 1,400 feet below on the water. Temperatures at Lees Ferry can reach well over 100 degrees, but the water temperate doesn’t change from 48 degrees. Fly Fishing at Lees Ferry is one of the few places in the world you can get hyperthermia from the waist down and heat stroke from the waist up!
Big thanks to Lees Ferry Anglers for the opportunity to fish with them and record a special day. Thanks to Captain Jimmy for showing us a great time and putting so many fish in the boat.

Super Rad Ladies Shred the Whistler Bike Park! RAW
Well when two former Mountain States Cup Racers have a chance meeting at the top of the Fitz chair at the Whistler Bike Park a ripping ride has to happen!
Lindsay Tralene Yost, (Trek Dirt Series Coach) from Longmount,Colorado and Wendy Palmer (Moab Mountain Bike Instruction) from Moab, UT.
They both raced in the Southwest Mountain States Cup Series, Lindsay came up through the series as a Cat 2 and then 1, Wendy was already racing pro, winning races in the US and Canada.
Races were at Winterpark, CO, Telluride and more!
I was about to shoot a video for Lindsay and on the way to Dirt Merchant from the gondola , Lindsay noticed Wendy and said hey, do you want to be in a video?
Dirt Merchant however was closed at the time so we headed back to hit Schleyer for some tech shots, on the way down they also hit Upper Joyride and then finished off with Clown Shoes with the old infamous PinkBike drop which is now a roll down.
Now being Mom's that SHRED, Wendy had to go pick up her toddler at the Whistler Daycare, so this was all shot in one run down the mountain.

MTB PEEP SHOW - 3 MINS ON JAVALINA TRAIL
A short but fun trail... Since Pima Canyon parking has been closed for renovations most of the fall and winter of 2017 we had to park at the Javalina Trailhead parking lot. This short trail offers access to Morman Trail and National Trail, its a pretty decent climb but an overall blast to end a National loop! The trail is rated Blue, 1.9 miles of rocky and loose desert singletrack.

13 Miles to Utah (A Bike Camping Movie)
This is a movie of me and my journey to Park City Utah. I'm from Long Island New York, and in the summer of 2015 I decided it was time for a change of scenery. I drove up to Vermont and from there took off from Killington. After going through 10 different states on one hell of a bike camping ride I made it to Park City, Utah, where I went on to have the greatest winter of my life. This is the evidence, 13 Miles to Utah.
Mt Nebo Utah Scenic Loop Drive and Bike Ride Spring 2019
The first part of this video shows what was open on the southern portion of Mt Nebo Scenic Loop on May 31st, 2019. One week later we drove through Payson Canyon to where the gate was closed to motorized traffic and explored beyond the gate with our bikes eventually enjoying a picnic at about 8600' before enjoying a 2000' paved descent. For a short video and map of our ride check out the following relive link:
The United States Congress designated the Mount Nebo Wilderness in 1984 and it now has a total of 27,075 acres. All of this wilderness is located in Utah and is managed by the Forest Service.
The centerpiece of the southern portion of this Wilderness, Mount Nebo rises to a majestic 11,928 feet the highest point in the entire Wasatch Range. The peak looms above a swatch of mountain scenery located between Interstate 15 and the Nebo Scenic Loop Byway. Wilderness elevation starts at 5,400 feet and climbs through mountain valleys and meadows broken by moderate to steep ridges. The climb will take you through great biological diversity, beginning with a sagebrush-cliffrose association, to mountain brush (oakbrush and mahogany), aspen, and white fir, then spruce and alpine fir, until you reach the timberline and an alpine zone with primrose, alpine moss, and tundra plants. Bobcats, mule deer, and elk are commonly seen here; black bears and mountain lions are more elusive. Numerous streams are rich with rainbow trout. Wildflowers abound in late spring and summer. Devil's Kitchen Geologic Site, adjacent to the eastern Wilderness boundary, will remind you of a miniature (but not as grand) Bryce Canyon. There are 4 Forest Service maintained trails, totaling approximately 21 miles in the Mount Nebo Wilderness. There are several other trails that border the Wilderness and allow access as well.
