Nairobi Kenya - Giraffe Center and Nairobi National Park
This is my first video from Kenya, and my first stop is the capital city of Nairobi. Fortunately in Nairobi you don't have to go far to find beautiful outdoor areas and wild animals, so straight away we get into some fun wildlife interactions.
Our first stop is the Giraffe Center which is a wildlife rehabilitation center in Nairobi. Here we're able to feed, pet, and interact with giraffes at the center (these ones are not ones that are able to be rereleased to the wild). We then wrap up the day by hiking at Kurura Forest where we meet a new Kenyan friend, Eve.
The next day we're up bright and early to head to Nairobi national park where we see all sorts of wildlife on a small scale safari. This will get us warmed up for our next destination: Masai Mara!
Please like and comment with your favorite part of the video! If you're interested in seeing more ecotourism and adventure travel content please subscribe.

Thank you for watching this ultimate Kenyan street food tour in Nairobi! I met up with my friend James who took me around to a few of his favorite spots to eat.
Kawangware, Nairobi, Kenya
Here's most of the food we tried on this amazing tour of Nairobi:
Ann Restaurant - Dagoretti Corner - This small street food stall on Dagoretti Corner in Nairobi serves all sorts of Kenyan / East African foods. Their chapatis are especially good, and their Lake Victoria sardines fried with tomatoes.
Chapati
Dagaa - Lake Victoria sardine
Matumbo - stomach stew
Githeri - beans and maize
The guy sitting across the table - “you should not eat beans and sardines together, or you’ll have gas.”
Total bill - 1,050 KES ($10.39) - we paid for 4 or 5 guys eating there
Stomach Clinix - This was the best food stop of the day, a neighborhood meat shop that James took me to that specializes in cow head soup. The grilled tongue was also spectacular, but the soup was the best.
Total price - 200 KES ($1.98)
Dagoretti Market - After the meat, we took a walk over to Dagoretti Market. After browsing around for a while, we stopped for another plate of mixed Kenyan food, mostly dengu, which are mung beans. It was simple, but quite good.
Dengu - mung beans
Total price - 300 KES ($2.97)
Unity Cafe Hotel - We met up with some of James' friend in Kawangware, and went to eat across the street from their shoe shop. The mandazi mix was the highlight of this Kenyan meal.
Total price - 600 KES ($5.94) for all
Cow foot fry - Next we headed over to Oscar who makes cow food soup, fry and boil. He was a very friendly man, and showed me his entire process of making cow foot soup. It was delicious!
Total price - 450 KES ($4.45)
Kenyan street food - To end this Kenyan street food tour of Nairobi we had to eat one of the ultimate Kenyan fast food meat treats. You'll see these types of grills all over the streets in the late afternoon throughout Nairobi. You just choose what you want, it's cut on the chopping board, and you stand and eat.
Esophagus
Intestines
Mutura - minced meat sausage
Mutura - blood sausage
Udder
Total price - 200 KES ($1.97)
Thank you for watching this ultimate Nairobi street food tour!

African Safari 2019 Nairobi
This was our first non-travel day in Nairobi when we visited the Giraffe Centre and Baby Elephant Sanctuary. It was just a small taste of what we would see later on at the reserves and national parks in Kenya.
NAIROBI SAFARI WALK: The Wilderness Within the City: Mobile Vlog
I love going to Nairobi Safari Walk. It’s a serene & relaxing location featuring raised boardwalks & pathways that allow visitors to view a variety of wild animals from close proximity. Being only 7Km from Nairobi City centre, it truly is a taste of the wilderness within the city. I recently visited Nairobi Safari Walk to film a project for a friend & client of mine & decided to make a mobile mini vlog of the outing. I hope you like it. If you haven’t visited Nairobi Safari Walk yet, plan to do so soon, you’re bound to enjoy it.

Visitors can arrive into Kenya and get 'straight under canvas' within 30 minutes of leaving the airport. NAIROBI SNAKE PARK
Snake Park Nairobi
Snake Park Nairobi is located just adjacent to National Museum Library and Botanical Gardens Nairobi alongside Kipande Road, about 1.5 km away from city center. If you walk along Nairobi River, just for a stroll towards west, you will first reach John Michuki Memorial Park, then Snake Park and then Botanical Gardens and then National Museum. It is a very ordinary snake farm not worth a visit. There are only few snakes in glass boxes covered with dust and hardly visible to naked eyes. Few tortoise and crocodiles can also be seen in this park which is located in a very small building. The entry fee for Snake Parkis 1200 shillings (more than 12$) for foreigners. It is abnormally high. However, a combined ticket of National Museum and Snake Park costs 1500 shillings which still amounts fleecing the foreign tourists.

Kenyan Street Food - HUGE GRILLED MEAT (Nyama Choma) Tour in Nairobi, Kenya | African Food!

Nyama choma, or grilled meat, is one of the favorite things to eat in Kenya. It can be many different types of meat, and usually the meat is slow roasted, sliced in front of you on your table, and served with salt, chilies, and kachumbari. In this video we’re taking you on a tour of some of the best nyama choma in Nairobi, Kenya.
Khan has a been a great friend of mine for many years in Nairobi, Kenya. And he recently started Gikosh, an aviation art company. You can check out their stuff on and
We decided to go on an ultimate Nairobi street food nyama choma (roasted meat tour) of Nairobi, but with a twist. Some of his carpenters and welders dressed in their Gikosh costumes for the occasion, and we first set off the walk about Gikomba Market in Nairobi.
After walking around the market for a while, we stopped at a small spot to eat our first grilled meat - nyama choma. They served grilled beef, and so we ordered a few kgs to snack on. It was overall quite good, and a nice friendly environment.
Total price - 1,000 KES ($9.86)
Kenyatta Market - For many years, Kenyatta Market has been one of my go to places for ready made nyama choma in Nairobi. They always have a huge selection that’s ready to eat when you arrive. The only thing that can be a bit hectic is when all the meat stalls are all trying to get your business at once. Some of the vendors even fight each other for your business. We eventually chose a stall, and ordered up a huge amount of meat. We got a mixed selection, but mostly goat, and a chicken, plus a bunch of Kenyan food side dishes.
Total price - 700 KES ($6.90) per kg
Dagoretti Corner - Final stop on this Kenyan food nyama choma tour was at
Dagoretti Corner and specifically Carol Smart Butchery. This is where we got husted for some meat! A few of the butchers from the slaughterhouse followed us to a nyama choma spot, chose some meat, and sat down to eat with us. But I was totally ok with eat, and they were hilarious and very entertaining!
Total price - 2,000 KES ($19.72)
Again, be sure to check out my buddy Khan:

Nairobi travel vlog | Things to do in Nairobi.
Welcome to our first vlog! And this one is about our stay in Nairobi. We went to Kenya for a 10 days tour, and our 1st stop was Nairobi. We took a direct flight from NY to Kenya (14.5 hrs long flight!), and certainly felt an escape from the cold weather of NY as soon as we got out of Nairobi airport and felt the warm Kenyan touch. Unfortunately we had a bad experience on our way to the hotel, as our car was stopped by a road-side cop, who literally got into our car, and asked for our passports and vaccination documents. From his behavior, it was understandable that he was looking for some bribe. We told him that we would call US embassy to sort this problem out. The moment we said that, the cop got shaken up, and let us go. Other than this experience our entire stay in Kenya, was pretty good.
In Nairobi we had our first ever Game drive experience. We started with Nairobi National park. The park is situated near Nairobi City . Nairobi's skyscrapers can be seen from the park and since it's very near to city life , it is protected by an electric fence all around it. NNP is home for many wildlife like Cape buffalo, baboon, eastern black rhino, gazelle, Grant's zebra, cheetah, Coke's hartebeest, hippopotamus, African leopard, lion, eland, impala, Masai giraffe, ostrich, vultures and waterbuck etc.
After our first game drive we went to an elephant orphanage center operated by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (link below). The organization rescues orphan elephants from wild and raises them to a point till they can go back to wild and live normal life.
Later on we also visited giraffe center , it's located in Lang'ata. Giraffe center was established to protect endangered giraffes found in East Africa. Here you can actually feed them and get really close with them

Nairobi is Kenya’s bustling capital city, often used as a jumping-off point for safari trips. In addition to its urban core, the city has Nairobi National Park, a large game reserve known for breeding endangered black rhinos and home to giraffes, zebras and lions. Next to it is a well-regarded elephant orphanage operated by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
