Harpeth River & Kingston Springs, TN Drone Footage
A view from the air of the Harpeth River near Burns Park in Kingston Springs, taken from my Phantom 3 drone. The Highway 70 Harpeth River Bridge in Shacklett can be seen off in the distance around the 1:40 mark. If you look closely at 2:58, you can see a lone CSX locomotive going through downtown headed west. (Please note, at no time did I fly over any homes, people, or roads, as per FAA Drone Laws.)
Recorded on July 23, 2017.
The song is Acoustic Arrangement of Aquatic Ambience from Donkey Kong Country by Fred Baty. Here is the link to the song -

Narrows of the Harpeth
The Montgomery Bell Tunnel, also known as the Patterson Forge Tunnel, is a historic water diversion tunnel in Harpeth River State Park in Cheatham County, Tennessee. Built in 1819, the 290-foot (88 m) long tunnel is believed to be the first full-size tunnel built in the United States, and is the first used to divert water for industrial purposes.

Harpeth River Mound Bottom and May's Mace Bluff
Pictures of Harpeth River Mound Bottom and Mace Bluff are from an Oct. 24, 2009 hiking tour of the Big Harpeth River area in Kingston Springs, TN.
The illustration using one of the mound photos is my personal interpretation of what the Mound Temple may have looked like.
Mound photos are of the largest mound facing East, although there are 13 other smaller mounds in the area surrounded on 3 sides by the Harpeth River. The bluff viewed from the top of the mound is May's Mace Bluff where the Ceremonial Mace Petroglyph is located.
Mound Bottom is located near Narrows of the Harpeth.
Archaeologists estimate the occupation of the site to be between 900 AD and 1300 AD.
Mound Bottom is a state owned archaeological area.
For information about tours of this area contact Tennessee State Parks.
Prompted by our guide Maury, we were respectfully quiet and aware as we ascended to the top of the large mound. Oddly the sun broke through the clouds for the first time that day as we stepped onto the top of the mound, as if welcoming us.
Thank you for watching,
and thank you Maury for the informative tour.

Narrows of the Harpeth, Harpeth River State Park
I hiked these short, but beautiful, trails located just outside Nashville. this park is called Narrows Of The Harpeth, and it is Part of a group of small parks called Harpeth River State Park. This one has the Bluff Trail 0.25 mi, the Tunnel Trail 0.20, and the Harris st Bridge Trail 0.35 mi. one thing to remember about these trails is that none of them are loops. don't forget to double your mileage when planning.
the signs on site, don't have the same milage as the map, but none of them are long.

16-4 Common Carp, Harpeth River, TN
Went down today with a buddy who shot the video while I released the fish.
This is my biggest to date and only my second time catching these carp from the river. 16 pounds, 4 ounces, measuring 30 inches in length. I did not take a girth measurement but it was a fat one, possibly full of eggs.
Caught once again using canned corn, on my Shakespeare Tiger spinning rod, unknown line and a #6 hook and split shot. These fish fight hard! One reason I prefer river fishing over pond fishing.
