Chef Galton Blackiston Launches Beers with Norfolk Brewhouse and Beers of Europe
Galton's No 1 Ale and No 1 Lager Launches with Norfolk Brewhouse, Maltsters and Beers of Europe
It’s not so very long ago that anyone asking for a beer in a restaurant would have received a cool response. Wine was the accompaniment to fine food. Michelin starred chef, Galton Blackiston, has finally put the nail in the coffin of that myth.
He has gone further than offering beer in his renowned Morston Hall and No 1 Cromer restaurants. Working with local farmers, maltsters and brewers, Galton has now created two beers of his own. Their flavours showcase what is probably the world’s best malt - produced in North Norfolk.
Galton's beers are also part of this year's Norfolk Brewhouse Christmas Gift Pack:
Galton’s No.1 Norfolk Ale (Gluten Free) - A rich, clean, hoppy ale which complements the crisp
batter and seafood flavours enjoyed at No.1 Cromer but is also crafted to be enjoyed with many
foods.
Galton’s No.1 Norfolk Lager (Gluten Free) - Light, refreshing and crisp, it perfectly complements
the seafood enjoyed at No.1 Cromer and is also great with spicy food and white meats.
Moon Gazer:
Amber - Full-bodied bitterness with malt and fruity overtones.
Golden Ale - A well-hopped character, with a crisp, dry finish.
Ruby Ale - A rich, spicy, roasted aroma and a full, maltry body.
StubbleStag Premium Lager - Craft larger - medium gold colour, with a hoppy bitterness and
crisp finish.
DewHopper Lager - A light, golden craft lager, smooth, malty with a hoppy aroma.
Moon Gazer Winter Porter - Winter Porter is a smooth dark ale brewed with a blend of 5 malts,
including oak smoked wheat malt, with add complexity and a hint of smokiness.

Year in Review: A Look Back at 2015. So many wonderful events & memories in pictures. Cromer Norfolk
Picture highlights reflecting on a fantastic year in Cromer, leading up to 2016. Featuring some events from our beautiful neighbouring town, Sheringham. Thanks to organizers and volunteers it's been another successful run for Cromer Carnival, Cromer and Sheringham Crab and Lobster Festival and COAST arts festival.
An acknowledgement to so many solo achievements also, that underlines Norfolk's ever resilient community spirit. It's not possible to cram so much in an eight minute video but I hope the presentation is a salute to all.
A big thank you to David Cross (Alarm Media) for video footage of Cromer Carnival from previous years, it's appreciated very much. I look forward to working with you in the Months ahead.
Cromer's award winning pier has been home to quite a few BBC dramas in 2015 and even a Bollywood movie. Long may it continue.

Public House in Great Yarmouth Norfolk For Sale
Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England
Advert Ref: 2765
Business Description
Preferred Commercial is delighted to offer for sale this busy traditional public house, which was established in the 1600s and which has been in our client's careful hands since 1995. The public house is only now offered to the market due to our client's wish to retire. The business trades 7 days a week, generating a turnover in the region of £100,000 per annum with a gross profit of 52%, derived from an extensive range of real ales, fine wines and spirits. The St John's Head are proud to have been continually listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, longer than any other pub in the area. There is an exceptional range of real ales available with a continually changing selection of guest ales. The pub shows live sports and is licenced for recorded and live entertainment. The business is well-supported by the local community and enjoys much repeat trade. There is a website in place promoting the business, ales available and contact details (stjohnshead.co.uk). The centrally heated premises boast spacious 3-bedroom owners' accommodation to the first floor, with lounge, kitchen and bathroom. We feel the turnover could be further increased from the introduction of food, as we believe there is the demand. There is also scope to extend the opening hours and host entertainment nights. We feel this represents an ideal opportunity to acquire an already busy pub with 3-bedroom owners' accommodation and scope for future growth. Early negotiations with Preferred Commercial must come highly recommended.
