Hemsby Mega Maze
Hemsby Mega Maze
for a family fun day out visit the Hemsby Mega Maze, just outside Great Yarmouth and not to far from Norwich. visit our website
The Mega Maze opens Sunday 20th July to Sunday 7th September. The Mega Maze is in an area of open countryside on the coast just north of Great Yarmouth in the seaside village of Hemsby.
You can come and visit the maze and then go to the beach to enjoy the miles of unspoilt sand that we have in this part of Norfolk.
If you are looking for a different type of walk in the countryside away from the hustle and bustle of normally daily life then the Mega Maze is for you. The Maze is something different which is good mind and body but also great fun.
There are two bridges within the Maze with superb viewing positions – you may even be able to see the offshore wind farm we have near the maze, and you will certainly be able to see all the other visitors who are getting lost within the maze!!

Salthouse, Norfolk
SEE MY HISTORY SITE ON FACEBOOK :
Here we can see the village of Salthouse on the north Norfolk coast.
The name of the village means a place for storing salt and it is described this way in the the Domesday Book of 1086. At the time the coast of Norfolk and Lincolnshire was the most productive area for the production of salt in the British Isles, although it did also have a comparitively high population. To produce salt, seawater was boiled in clay vessels with the salt formed after the process fashioned into blocks of a standard weight and measure. Much evidence of this activity can be found along this stretch of the coast.
There is evidence of even earlier settlements around Salthouse. During the construction of the village hall in 1954 a drinking vessel or beaker was dug up which dated from the Neolithic period around 2000BCE along with the fossilised vertebrae of a whale. Evidence has also been found of a Neolithic enclosure.
Nearby we have the Salthouse Marshes, a 25 hectare coastal grazing marsh and saline lagoons are managed as a nature reserve by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust and popular with bird watchers.
Salthouse Heath forms part of the Cromer Ridge of glacial moraine, the heath is an important wildlife site and also has the largest cluster of Bronze Age burial mounds in Norfolk. The predominant vegetation is gorse and heather, but in recent years the open aspect of the southern part has been lost by encroaching birch and oak woodland. It is well-known locally as a good place to hear Nightingales and Nightjars in early summer.
My channel on you tube : has around 1,800 original films, most in English. My big interest in life is travel and history but I have also placed films on other subjects.
Please feel free to ask questions in the public area or to comment on things you disagree with. Sometimes there are mistakes because I speak without preparation. If I see the mistakes myself, I make this clear in the text. Please also leave a star rating!
There are a number of films here on the packaging industry. This is because I am the publisher of Central and Eastern European Packaging -- - the international platform for the packaging industry in this region focusing on the latest innovations, trends, design, branding, legislation and environmental issues with in-depth profiles of major industry achievers.
Most people may think packaging pretty boring but it possibly effects your life more than you really imagine!
Central and Eastern European Packaging examines the packaging industry throughout this region, but in particular in the largest regional economies which are Russia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Austria. That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region. Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!
