In Search of World War II Foxholes, Humpback Whales Surfacing off the Oregon Coast
Video take May 15, 2011.
Aaron Baker searches for lost World War II fox holes that where built to protect the coast line from Japanese attack. The fox holes were a common play area for his family in the 50s and 60s. The fox holes are located near Bob Creek, between Florence and Yachats, Oregon. Aaron's search was a failure, but he will not let up and will continue the search in future time. From Glenn knoll Humpback Whales are spotted surfacing from the cold Pacific Ocean sea water.

CO-OR Motorcycle Loop Finale - Days 9-11 - Yachats - Twisties - Hill AFB Museum
The final Days (9-11) of my 3200 loop. Just east, from the Pacific Coast, finds me in the early morning (7am) twisties of the Siuslaw valley. Climbing out of the valley, over the Cascade Range offered me a view of Mt. Washington. Once I was past Bend, OR and the desert of OR, the Malheur canyon gave me a welcome of eye candy. I overnight-ed in Idaho, just across the border from Ontario, OR. The next day was basically super slab with a walk around (and in) the Hill Air Force Base Museum. Hill AFB base, just outside of Salt Lake City, is still active.
I filmed a few more miles, east of Salt Lake City before ending this, the final chapter.
From there, I rested in Roosevelt, UT then home to Golden.
I hope you all enjoyed all 7 chapters (11 days) of this journey.

Enjoy a truly unique living experience in the heart of the Rose City. Built in 1931 upon the slope of Portland’s Southwest Hills, this three-story marvel tastefully combines original Art Deco design with modern updates. Distinct and notable aspects abound, including granite countertops and original hardwood floors. Radiant steam heat pleasantly warms the home, thus avoiding the dryness of forced air systems.
The stylish rooftop and wet bar allow for sunbathing in the afternoon, entertaining in the evening, and is accessible by covered stairs and the main residence elevator. Wide balconies encircle nearly every level of the home, adding to the expansive layout. The Art Deco influence is clear in this home’s design, with its flat roof, smooth stucco, and rounded corners. Inside, clear lines and boldly designed light fixtures and door knobs throughout the home harken back to a time of old Hollywood glamour.
Despite its expansive size and many features, the home is also remarkable because of its great location. There are but a handful of properties within walking distance to most of downtown Portland while sitting up just enough into the hills to feel exclusive and private up above the city.
