Monster Pictures announced today that The ABCs of Death, an anthology of 26 short films, directed by 26 Directors depicting 26 ways to die will be released theatrically in the UK & Eire in 26 cinemas nationwide on the 26 April 2013.
• 26 Directors
• 26 ways to die
• 26 cinemas
• 26 April 2013
The ABCs of Death is perhaps the most ambitious anthology film ever conceived with productions spanning fifteen countries and featuring segments directed by over two dozen of the world's leading talents in contemporary genre film, including the directors of House of the Devil, Hobo with a Shotgun, A Serbian Film, Tokyo Gore Police, You're Next & four British Directors - Ben Wheatley (Sightseers), Simon Rumley (Red, White & Blue), Jake West (Doghouse) & Leeds based Lee Hardcastle, who with his claymation short, won a competition to be the final Director. Inspired by children's educational books, the motion picture is comprised of twenty-six individual chapters, each helmed by a different director assigned a letter of the alphabet. The directors were then given free rein in choosing a word to create a story involving death.
This alphabetical arsenal of destruction orchestrated by what has been described as a stunning roll call of some of the most exciting names in horror across the world. is one of the most hotly anticipated releases for 2013. When the trailer received its first UK airing, last year, it was screened to a packed audience at the 13th Frightfest, Empire Cinema, Leicester Square, the 2 minute clip received rapturous applause from the attending audience. The film will receive its UK premiere at the this year's Glasgow Film Festival as part of Film4Frightfest (Tickets for this event are now sold out) and its Irish premiere at the inaugural Twisted Celluloid Film Festival at the Triskel Arts Centre.

In this short film they talk about the Rations and what they had to do to remain fashionable during that time. With contributions from Little Nellie's Sweet Shop;
The Phoenix Picture House, (Oxford), Newport Film School, (Wales) (Initially the BBC Learning 'Reel History' department).
The idea is that these films will be part of an exhibition/project documenting memories for future generations.
I was informed that the end music was Stéphane Zidi / Laurent Sauvagnac-Jazz New York, sound recording administered by:IDOL
I should point out that I used it from the free samples of garage music on FCP and therefore this was not intentional as I always use copyright free or if I know the author. This is for non-profit use and educational only.

START - rebuilding TOTTENHAM CT RD STN GREAT DEVELOPMENT LONDON uk
This whole block is due for refurbishment. I think (?) they are going to pull all this down and build something new there. I could be wrong and we can but await developments. In the meantime they have closed the whole block down, emptied the shops and cinema-cum-gay-rock-venue and have started on digging up the road.
Here we are at May 31st 2009 and they are well under way with demolition of this cinema and this block. I don't think it is all going to be finished until about 2017 but i could be wrong there too!

The Couch Sessions - Apple Trio - Lana Lunera
The Apple Trio perform 'Lana Lunera' live at the Phoenix Picturehouse's Upstairs Bar.
Words by M. Baggio & S. Schujer and music by Hannah Rhodes.
The Apple Trio is a vocal group exploring folk song from the British Isles and further afield. Siriol Davies, Kate Fuller and Hannah Rhodes draw upon their musical upbringings in Wales, South Australia and Oxfordshire to create haunting harmonies and a rich vocal sound.
Their usual repertoire includes gentle lullabies and poignant love songs but catch them on a Sunday night at Oxford's famous Half Moon folk session, however, and you might hear a rousing sea shanty.
They regularly sing, eat cake and drink tea with The Apple Trees, a larger singing group set up by Siriol, where they first met each other.
