U.S. NAVY 1955 ANGLED DECK AIRCRAFT CARRIER ORIENTATION MOVIE 81040
Made in 1955, this U.S. Navy training film discusses the new angled deck aircraft carriers. The angled flight deck was invented by Royal Navy Captain (later Rear Admiral) Dennis Cambell, as an outgrowth of design study initially begun in the winter of 1944-1945 when a committee of senior Royal Navy officers decided that the future of naval aviation was in jets, whose higher speeds required that the carriers be modified to fit the needs of jets. With this type of deck — also called a skewed deck, canted deck, waste angle deck, or the angle — the aft part of the deck is widened and a separate runway is positioned at an angle from the centerline. The angled flight deck was designed with the higher landing speeds of jet aircraft in mind, which would have required the entire length of a centreline flight deck to stop. The design also allowed for concurrent launch and recovery operations, and allowed aircraft failing to connect with the arrestor cables to abort the landing, accelerate, and relaunch (or bolter) without risk to other parked or launching aircraft.
The redesign allowed for several other design and operational modifications, including the mounting of a larger island (improving both ship-handling and flight control), drastically simplified aircraft recovery and deck movement (aircraft now launched from the bow and re-embarked on the angle, leaving a large open area amidships for arming and fueling), and damage control. Because of its utility in flight operations, the angled deck is now a defining feature of STOBAR and CATOBAR equipped aircraft carriers.
The angled flight deck was first tested on HMS Triumph by painting angled deck markings onto the centerline of the flight deck for touch and go landings. This was also tested on the USS Midway the same year. Despite the new markings, in both cases the arresting gear and barriers were still aligned with the centerline of the original deck. From September to December 1952, the USS Antietam had a rudimentary sponson installed for true angled deck tests, allowing for full arrested landings, which proved during trials to be superior. In 1953, Antietam trained with both U.S. and British naval units, proving the worth of the angled deck concept. HMS Centaur was modified with overhanging angled flight deck in 1954. The U.S. Navy installed the decks as part of the SCB-125 upgrade for the Essex-class and SCB-110/110A for the Midway-class. In February 1955, HMS Ark Royal became the first carrier to be constructed and launched with an angled deck, rather than having one retrofitted. This was followed in the same year by the lead ships of the British Majestic-class (HMAS Melbourne) and the American Forrestal-class (USS Forrestal).
This film features footage of CV-21 the USS Boxer and CV-36, USS Antietam. USS Antietam (CV/CVA/CVS-36) was one of 24 Essex-class aircraft carriers built during and shortly after World War II for the United States Navy. The ship was the second US Navy ship to bear the name, and was named for the American Civil War Battle of Antietam (Maryland). Antietam was commissioned in January 1945, too late to actively serve in World War II. After serving a short time in the Far East, she was decommissioned in 1949. She was soon recommissioned for Korean War service, and in that conflict earned two battle stars. In the early 1950s, she was redesignated an attack carrier (CVA) and then an antisubmarine warfare carrier (CVS). After the Korean War she spent the rest of her career operating in the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Mediterranean. From 1957 until her deactivation, she was the Navy's training carrier, operating out of Florida.
Antietam was fitted with a port sponson in 1952 to make her the world's first true angled-deck aircraft carrier. But she received no major modernizations other than this, and thus throughout her career largely retained the classic appearance of a World War II Essex-class ship. She was decommissioned in 1963, and sold for scrap in 1974.

HIKING TRAILS WITH WATERFALLS IN GEORGIA
This video is about hiking trails with waterfalls in Georgia while I visited an old friend. We recently went to Georgia to visit a good friend of mine I hadn't seen since I got married. Since we were going to be in Georgia I thought it might be a good time to look for hiking trails in Georgia especially near the Appalachian trail where I was sure to find some hiking trails with waterfalls. We were able to hike the Minnehaha falls, Tallulah Falls, Tallulah Gorge and through Sweetwater Park along the beautiful river.
I also wanted to really use my new Sony A6300 camera and make a short cinematic film on hiking. The premiss of the short film was the need to get out of a busy city life and escape into the woods to find some peace. I posted this short film previously but just in case you missed it you can check it out here.
CHECK OUT MY SHORT FILM Getaway: Into The Woods -
Unfortunately, since I was so consumed with catching up with my friends, hiking trails with waterfalls and making my short film I really didn't do much vlogging, I wanted to make a vlog so I changed the format and did some narration. I'm sorry if you don't like it but I didn't have as much video as I would have normally liked. Next weeks vlog format will resume.

We can no longer think... is it true? Is it not true? Are they truths or are they lies--if we believe or if we don't believe--no! There are already numerous considerations which make the existence of these beings [extraterrestrials] into a certainty we cannot doubt.
Former Special Assistant to the Executive Director of the CIA Victor Marchetti: How the CIA Views the UFO Phenomenon, Second Look, Vol. 1, No. 7, Washington, D.C. (5/1979) -- We have, indeed, been contacted -- perhaps even visited -- by extraterrestrial beings, and the US government, in collusion with the other national powers of the Earth, is determined to keep this information from the general public.
Deputy Chief of the Royal Belgian Air Force Major-General Wilfred de Brouwer: Postface in SOBEPS' Vague d'OVNI sur la Belgique - Un Dossier Exceptionnel, Brussels: SOBEPS (1991) -- In any case, the Air Force has arrived to the conclusion that a certain number of anomalous phenomena has been produced within Belgian airspace. The numerous testimonies of ground observations compiled in this [SOBEPS] book, reinforced by the reports of the night of March 30-31 [1990], have led us to face the hypothesis that a certain number of unauthorized aerial activities have taken place. Until now, not a single trace of aggressiveness has been signaled; military or civilian air traffic has not been perturbed nor threatened. We can therefore advance that the presumed activities do not constitute a direct menace.
The day will come undoubtedly when the phenomenon will be observed with technological means of detection and collection that won't leave a single doubt about its origin. This should lift a part of the veil that has covered the mystery for a long time. A mystery that continues to the present. But it exists, it is real, and that in itself is an important conclusion.
Japan's Top Government Spokesperson, Chief Cabinet Secretary Nobutaka Machimura and Japan's Defense Minister, Shigeru Ishiba :
Beliefs and Concerns about UFOs - Japan's top government spokesperson: UFO's definitely exist. Chief Cabinet Secretary Nobutaka Machimura said to reporters on December 18, 2007, I definitely believe they (UFOs) exist.
3 days later Japan's Defence Minister Shigeru Ishiba considers how his Self Defence Forces could respond to an attack by space aliens while adhering to limits on military action under the country's war-renouncing Constitution. There are no grounds for us to deny there are unidentified flying objects and some lifeform that controls them, Ishiba said. Few discussions have been held on what the legal grounds are for military response. (Bloomberg) by Stuart Biggs
Sworn Affidavit by a Lieutenant Walter Haut concerning his experience of the 1947 UFO crash AT Roswell, NM:
Lt. Walter Haut, public relations officer at Roswell Army Air Field in 1947 left a sworn affidavit concerning his experience with the Roswell UFO crash in 1947. His sworn affidavit was only to be opened after his death. Haut died in December 2005 and sometime in June of 2007 the text contained therein had been released. He describes seeing the UFO and the occupants consisting of alien bodies as well as a high-level meeting with Col. William Blanchard and General Roger Ramey, Commander of the Eighth Army Air Force.
Astronaut Scott Carpenter
At no time, when the astronauts were in space were they alone: there was a constant surveillance by UFOs. ~ Astronaut Scott Carpenter - Carpenter photographed a UFO while in orbit on May 24, 1962. NASA still has not released the photograph to the public.
Buzz Aldrin on Fox News
We just about could have said, 'Look, we see a UFO out the window going along with us.' You know what would have happened? The public would have gone crazy! We were smart enough to say, 'Where is the upper stage rocket? We think we might be looking at that out the window.

These UFOs are interplanetary devices systematically observing the Earth, either manned or under remote control, or both.
President Jimmy Carter
Interview following his sighting of a UFO at Leary, Georgia - October 1969
It was the darndest thing I've ever seen. It was big, it was very bright, it changed colors, and it was about the size of the moon. A red and green glowing orb radiated as it hurtled across the southwestern Georgia skies. We watched it for ten minutes, but none of us could figure out what it was. One thing's for sure: I'll never make fun of people who say they've seen unidentified flying objects in the sky.
Property Management in Cumming Georgia
With a population of nearly 190,000, Cumming, Georgia is one of the largest cities in the state. It is a fairly affluent community with average family incomes ranging at around $103,000 per year. The city is positioned on the south western edge of Lake Lanier, the largest inland body of water in North America next only to the Great Lakes. Serving as the Forsyth County seat, Cumming sports a brand new county courthouse, modernly appointed county administrative offices, and a newly constructed City Hall complex. And they’ve done all of this with the lowest millage rate of the surrounding counties. That’s a sign of great government planning and execution!
All of this portends a favorable environment for real estate investing. Those that have invested in Cumming real estate over the past several years have enjoyed generous property value growth. As a property management company in Cumming Georgia, we also recognize the propitious rental rates as compare to home values. Positive cash flows are easily obtained, and finding renters for available homes is unchallenging for 3 Options Realty. Our company average for the 1st quarter of 2015 was just 7 days.
If you are looking for a professional property management company, you ought to consider 3 Options Realty for rental property in Cumming, Georgia. You might expect that I would suggest that since I am a principal in the company. But truthfully, I tell you this because the company concept is one that more and more landlords are discovering and finding much to their satisfaction.
While there are numerous reasons why working with 3 Options Realty for property management is a good idea, I want write about one particular aspect here.
Landlords at 3 Options Realty enjoy the benefit of having a single agent serve all of their real estate needs. For example, each landlord is assigned to one agent. That agent will meet with the landlord and fully explain our company policies and procedures, and review the paperwork for listing and managing the property. Then that same agent will be the one that markets the property, qualifies the tenant applicants, performs the move-in inventory, and then takes over as the day-to-day property manager. Any questions that the landlord may have would be directed to that property manager, and it matters not what the question, whether having to do with the tenant relationship, home maintenance, the owner statement of account, or anything else. What we do not do is pass off the landlord to different staff people to handle those inquiries. Landlords love the simplicity of this policy. Under it they grow to really know the property manager. Even better yet, the property manager grows to better understand the expectations of the landlords so they can better serve them.
If you or someone you know would like to talk about leasing and managing homes in Cumming, Georgia, we would love to be part of the discussion.

Toyota Celica 2001
The Toyota Celica /ˈsɛlɨkə/ is a sport compact car produced by the Japanese company Toyota from 1970 to 2006. The Celica name was ultimately derived from the Latin word coelica meaning heavenly or celestial. In Japan, the Celica was exclusive to Toyota Japanese dealerships Toyota Corolla Store.
Throughout its life span the Celica has been powered by various four-cylinder engines. The most significant change occurred in August 1985, when the car's drive layout was changed from rear wheel drive to front wheel drive. During the first three generations, American market Celicas were powered by various versions of Toyota's R series engines. The four-wheel drive turbocharged model called GT-Four worldwide (All-Trac Turbo in the US) was produced from 1986 to 1999. Variable Valve Timing came in certain Japanese models starting in December 1997, and became standard in all models from 2000-on. Through seven generations, the model has gone through many revisions and design forks, including the Toyota Celica Supra (later known as the Toyota Supra). The Celica was available as notchback and liftback coupes, as well as a convertible.
In late 1999, Toyota began production and sales of the seventh-generation Celica. It closely resembled the XYR concept with the exception of the front bumper and rear spoiler, while omitting the previously available coupe bodystyle. The 2000 model year Celica was an element of Toyota Project Genesis, an effort to bring younger buyers to the marque in the United States. Toyota took time to lighten the car and lower cost wherever possible. Power window and door lock controls were placed in the center console so only 1 set was necessary for both doors. Initial sunroofs were made of polymer plastic instead of the traditional glass. This generation was assembled by Kanto Auto Works at its Higashi-Fuji plant in Susono, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
Toyota Celica SS-I (ZZT230, Japan)
The Celica came in two different models. The ZZT230 was powered by a relatively economical 1.8 L 4-cylinder 140 hp (104 kW) 1ZZ-FE engine and the ZZT231 powered by a higher-performance 1.8 L 4-cylinder 192 hp (143 kW) (in Europe and Japan) 2ZZ-GE version, co-developed with Yamaha, the latter featuring a two-step variable valve lift control in conjunction with its variable valve timing. In 2004, CNNMoney.com rated the Celica as one of the best cars to purchase for fuel economy.[16]
Exporting of the Celica ceased in July 2005. However until mid-May, customers could still order one, although it was advised they took action before that time ended.
The last Celica was rolled off production line on April 21, 2006. In its last year, the Celica was only officially sold in Japan.

What is the difference between a Video Production Company and a Video Marketing Company?
A video production company shoots videos.
Sounds simple, right?
This could be one person with a camera or at ten person crew that will shoot videos for your company.
You do all the research, develop the strategy, and build the marketing campaign.
Did you go to college to build marketing campaigns?
Once they're done editing your videos, they send them to you so that you can upload them to all your platforms and market them on a consistent basis.
A video marketing company helps create the video marketing campaign and guides the process. They will provide you with a storyboard and help your company build a campaign designed with your goals in mind.
The ultimate goal is to attract your best clients, generate more referrals and stand out from the competition.
All of this is done BEFORE the shoot.
A video marketing company helps create, compelling content that attracts your best client, generates more referrals and gets more business through the door.
A video marketing company then uploads all of the videos to your platform and markets the videos, runs the advertising and does it on a consistent basis.
In addition, a video marketing company will make sure that your videos attract new clients videos are consistent on all of the marketing channels where we share their videos.
WE ARE A VIDEO MARKETING COMPANY.
We have a proprietary Discovery process that starts as soon as we sign on a new client.
After the interview, we do a lot of research and competitive analysis and then build a storyboard that is unique to the company.
I never recommend a client scripting out their videos unless they’re working with a professional marketing company that understands marketing, SEO and their profession. It’s not good enough to just write scripts and videos.
How will people find their videos if they don’t create content people are actually searching for?
A professional video marketing company that understands SEO will know what type of content you should be creating.

9 19 11 Zoning Hearing Norm Tomchak
Fair Grounds Road resident Jane Tolomello turned off the recording she made one Sunday afternoon in June of gunfire in the woods behind her house, which is 800 feet away from a proposed natural gas apparatus.
Those shots went on for two hours. Constantly, she told the Dallas Township zoning hearing board Monday. The police told me there was nothing they could do.
On Monday night it was residents' turn to state their case opposing a natural gas metering station about one-third of a mile from the Dallas district schools. Main concerns include age of the 1950s-vintage Transco interstate pipeline would be tapping into, the apparent lack of emergency plans for the district and what would happen in the event of a natural gas emergency.
After a series of hearings, Chief wrapped up its testimony on Aug. 22 for a metering station to measure gas going from wells in Susquehanna County to the Transco, which is owned by Tulsa, Okla.-based Williams.
Kim Jacobs, who has children in the Dallas schools, was worried about the small, two-lane roads to the Dallas schools: Hildebrandt, Conynham and Pear Tree Lane. When students are being dropped off and picked up, the traffic is congested and sometimes backed up to the traffic light on Route 309, she said.
Word spreads, and if ever there was an accident or a false alarm, Mother A will call Mother B and pretty soon every parent and caregiver will be converging on the school, Jacobs said. Congestion, if an emergency, would be times 100. It would be exponential, she said.
Franklin Township resident Maureen Oremus, who is a firefighter, parent of children in the Dallas schools and who works for the district, gave a rundown of emergency procedures from the 2008 Emergency Response Guide. She doesn't feel the district is prepared, in the event of an emergency, to evacuate the district's 2,697 students, plus all the teachers and staff. She confirmed Jacobs' fear that traffic on the roads would be tied up, and said she did not think the district had an emergency evacuation plan.
Tolomello said she was concerned about the activities that go on in the woods behind her house which could damage the metering station, including hunters' stray bullets and vandalism by partying teens. Her 16-year-old daughter attends Dallas High School, and she worries about her safety in school, as well as at home, along with her husband and three pets.
I never get to escape. I never get to pick up my daughter and go home and sleep at night, she said.
Resident Diane Dreier pointed out the Dallas Township zoning ordinance prohibits hazardous substances in an agricultural area.
She exhibited a July 28 letter from state Rep. Phyllis Mundy, D-Kingston, to a representative of the U.S. Department of Transportation's Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration and the reply indicating natural gas is listed on the federal hazardous materials table.
Norm Tomchak said his concern is about the connection of the Chief pipeline to the Transco, based on the age of the interstate pipeline.
I'm amazed at the lack of knowledge regarding the Transco interstate transmission line, he said, referring to Chief's witnesses. He said there seem to be a lot of I-don't-knows about the shutoff valve, where compressor stations are located, and a basic lack of physical knowledge of the Transco pipeline.
Chief attorney Ken Komoroski recalled company vice president Jim Scott testified Chief had at least four tie-ins to the Transco in the previous year.
Tomchak said while some parts of the Transco may have been refurbished, he was concerned about the part in Dallas.
My concern is based upon its age, period.
Barbara Fleming, who has three daughters in the Dallas schools, worries about an explosion.
When Fleming expressed doubts about the additional pressure on the Transco, Komoroski asked whether if she knew there wouldn't be increased pressure, it would alter her view.
She said it would make her feel better, but the pipeline would still keep getting older. If a pipeline integrity management plan was in place, Fleming said she would want to know who is monitoring Chief to make sure those guidelines are followed
Komoroski asked if that program was being followed, and it was being double-checked, would it address her concerns?
It would help, Fleming admitted, but said she didn't want any natural gas activity so close to the schools, whether above or below the ground.
The next hearing will be at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 10 in Insalaco Hall at Misericordia University.
