Royal Selangor Club
A social club in Kuala Lumpur, the Royal Selangor Club was founded in 1884 by the British in Malaya. Located at the Independence (Merdeka ) Square, the design of the building is in the Mock Tudor style of architecture. Its nickname is the Spotted Dog because (as the story goes) in the past two Dalmation dogs belonging to the wife of one of the club founders guarded the club building entrance while they patronised the club.
