Promenade des Anglais - Great Attractions (Nice, France)
Take a tour of Promenade des Anglais in Nice, France -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats.
The city of Nice is widely considered as one of the most beautiful parts of France.
Comparable to California's Venice Beach or Florida's Miami Beach is the Promenade des Anglais.
This picturesque oceanfront walkway is one of the most popular places in Nice.
It gets its name, meaning the English Promenade, from Lewis Way, the Englishman who financed it.
Since the project started in 1822, the Promenade has offered stunning views of the beautiful sea.
The walkway is lined with cafes, restaurants, and hotels, creating a pleasant vacation place.
Popular activities along the Promenade des Anglais include jogging, skateboarding, rollerblading, and, of
course, sunbathing.
